Ashton's Prov
(You aren't ready for this)

I woke up to find Amethyst panting her toe nails and a lot of sun in my eyes. I sighed positioning my seat back. I earned a small smirk from Amethyst before she handed me some kinda of breakfast food.

I rub my eyes noticing she actually changed. Her blue hair was pulled back in a braid and she actually had pants on. Well shorts, but it still counted. She didn't have liked shirt on but instead it was some sweater. It looked familiar, but I'm not sure from where.

I took a bite of what I found out was a croissant egg and cheese thing casually looking for my keys. Amethyst went onto her finger nails by the time I found the keys.

"Do you want to get changed? There's a bathroom over there," Amethyst asks pointing to where she probably changed as well.

"Yah I probably should," I laugh grabbing my bag in the back.

I mumble a quick 'I'll be back' getting out of the car. I make my way to the little bathroom thing. It was kind of gross and eary. The place reminded me of a low budget horror film. Like when they go hide somewhere they think is safe but is actually literally the most unsafe place ever.

I got changed as fast as I could. I also went to the bathroom, but the light went out so I'm not gonna mention what happened. I was happy when I saw Amethyst wasn't looking over here because I fell out of that bathroom. Not my fault! I swear.

I got back to the car seeing Amethyst moved on to doing her makeup. She looked pretty without it. I'm not sure why she thinks she needs it. I shrug and start the car.

San Francisco is another hour away. I dorm mind the drive though. To be honest I was just going to go by myself, but the company is nice. I'm pretty sure Amethyst believes she's bothering me, but her random questions and jam sessions are actually really amusing.

"You never told me where we were going," amethyst states putting away her makeup.

"And that's how it's gonna stay," I smirk.

"Wow," she laughs.

A couple minutes go by. I start humming the songs again letting my fingers tap the streaming wheel. I notice Amethyst turning her phone on again. A bunch of messages pop up and she frowns. She scrolls through all of the notifications letting her frown grow bigger.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Um it was a group chat," she says putting her phone back in her bag, "they were talking about something that made me a bit sad."

"Oh," I nod understanding even though she's lying.

I shouldn't bother her. She obviously doesn't want me to know. I go back to my humming after a minute taking in the scenery. A beach comes into the picture and I smile. I love the beach.

"FUCK ASH PULL OVER!" Amethyst screams almost making me swerve into another lane.

I pull over clutching my chest. When I look over at her she smiles. What the actually hell? My eyes are probably so wide. She better have a good explanation.

"What the fuck Am?" I exclaim.

"I'm sorry but it's the beach," she says making me took my eyes, "come on. When was the last time we went to the beach together?"

"I don't know, but you didn't have to stop me like that," I exclaim.

"Sorry the beach was calling me. You would've missed the exist if I didn't," she states grabbing her bag.
