I wake up with my head still resting on Lucas's shoulder. I don't even remember falling asleep last night but I'm still exhausted right now.

I close my laptop and check my phone, seeing a missed call from my mom. I smile, I miss her. I call back and despite it being five in the morning, she answers right away.

We talk for an hour and I actually ask about Harry. Not Justin. But of course she talks about him too. I just zone out and add the occasional "uh huh" until we finally started talking about other stuff.

"You come home in a two months, right?" She asks.

"Yup. I feel like it's flying by though. I love it at home, believe me, but it's also nice to be away. And warm..." I add knowing that they just got three inches of snow while I could go for a swim right now.

"Don't get too excited to be away from home. I miss you."

"Miss you too."

I hear other voices in the background and then my mom comes back on. "I have to go, talk to you later. Love you!"

"Love you too." I say just before hanging up my phone. Her job is so crazy sometimes but I know that she loves every second of it.

Lucas is still passed out in the couch and he has to be up soon to go to the show grounds. "Wake up" I say to him,

Of course he doesn't even flinch so I pinch his cheeks, "come on."

He groans and rolls over. I laugh, "okay, suit yourself." I shrug, walking away but then running back and jumping on top of him.

"What are you doing?" He laughs, finally awake. "For once can I not be woken up violently."

I giggle and bump my shoulder against his, "Then where's the fun in that?"

He gets up and goes to the fridge, "What are you hungry for?"

"I'm not hungry." I say truthfully.

He looks over to me as if saying Are you kidding me.

"Really, I promise I'll eat when I get hungry."

"Okay" He says not at all convinced. "I'm going to go take a shower and get dressed."

He comes back down the stairs in tan breeches and a black polo shirt. Oh, and lets not forget his sunglasses, because why would he go anywhere without them. His hair was flipped onto one side and still damp from the shower. He looks at me and complains, "Can I sneak you onto the show grounds? I don't really feel like dealing with Casper today."

"He's that bad!" I laugh.

"He's fucking insane. I take him out of the stall and he's on two legs the whole time."

I smile at that. I don't know why I like Casper so much. He really is insane, I've seen peoples faces when I get on him. They think I'm crazy for even going near him. Maybe It's that I've dealt with so many off-the-track Thoroughbreds in my life that I'm used to the craziness. Maybe I'm equally as crazy too.

"Well..." I think. "Brandon can't yell at me if I don't ride. I could say that I'm coming to watch some of the other classes going on." I knew Brandon wouldn't care if I was there, he just didn't want me riding and overworking myself. And the only reason why I didn't go to the show grounds is because I knew I would ride anyway. I just can't help myself sometimes.

Lucas looks at his Rolex watch and says, "You got ten minutes to get ready."

"Yay!" I scream excitedly and hug him quickly as I run up the stairs. To make sure I don't ride I wear jeans, a purple polo, and saddle colored Sperries. I'm back down the stairs within five minutes and I skip out the doorway. I don't know why horses get me so excited but they always have.
