I take my usual morning lesson on Casper with Brandon. Today we just worked on flat work and getting Casper to be more responsive to my leg. I'm actually really happy with the way he is coming along. He's still crazy at times but I'm used to it. In a week I have our second Grand Prix together at the Devon Horse Show. Along with them I have the new project horses that I picked up in Florida and over the past week.

I finally figured out a schedule that lets me ride all the horses at least four times a week without overworking myself. And I still have time to go ride Harry and train Zara. However, I haven't been riding Harry that much because Justin is taking him to Devon as well.

It took me a while to agree on letting Justin continue to ride Harry, but after a lot of thought I realized that Harry was happy with Justin on him and in all honesty, I only trust Justin to ride him so it worked out.

Javier takes Casper from me and I begin to tack up Enzo, a liver chestnut thoroughbred gelding that was getting too strong for his owner to handle. I've been working with him for about a week or so and he's a nice horse, just needs a tune up that's all. My favorite part about him is that his show name is Enzo Ferrari.

Before I put the bridle on I call Lucas, who didn't show up to his lesson this morning and Brandon is a little pissed. "Where are you?" I ask placing my phone between my shoulder and cheek to put the bridle on Enzo.

"Watching your boyfriend ride your horse." He calmly says.

I ignore the boyfriend comment and get right to the point. "Brandon's going to take away your whole saddle this time if you don't come up with a good excuse to why you missed your lesson." Last time he was late to his lesson and Brandon took away his stirrups for the entire lesson.

"I didn't have a lesson today..." He says and I just let him think about it for a good thirty seconds. "Oh shit! Gina what's a good excuse? You gotta help me out here!"

"Nope you're all in your own. I'll be there about three hours if you feel like hanging out there." Sometimes I like to have company while I'm working with Zara because she gets so stubborn sometimes that I need a little extra help.

"Ugh it's a good thing you're pretty otherwise I would've been out of here ten minutes ago."

I don't even bother answering. I just hang up on him and walk Enzo to the small ring. I realized that he's much stronger in a bigger arena so I'm shrinking it down until he fully listens to what I ask if him and then hopefully the transition to the big ring won't be as difficult.

I trot him around the ring a couple times before I start to do leg yields and circles. He never fully goes in a frame but his head is neither too high or too low so I leave it. I watched his old owner ride him in old videos that they gave me and it was the same so I feel that they don't mind it too much.

After twenty minutes of him successfully moving off my leg and transitioning from walk to canter and canter to walk without getting too strong, I give him a long rein and cool him out. I try to end on a good note with him because if u keep pushing him to do more and more I learned that that usually results in him getting aggravated.

Sitting on the bench outside the ring I see Brandon watching. I walk over. "You're doing good with him."

"Yeah" I smile and pat Enzo's neck. "He just needed a reminder of who the boss is. Granted I haven't taken him in the big ring yet, but if he continues like this he can go home in a week or two."

"That's excellent. Scoot Bash just called and asked if you could take in one of his new horses. Got the time?"

"Ummm" I bite my lip. I just got into the flow of having six project horses. I already filled all my stalls and Brandon let me use some of the other barns stalls that that girl whom I forgot the name of let me board some of her horses in. "Do we have the room?"
