Aki's P.O.V
"Give it up.
Not one of the four of you...
Will ever be a ninja!" Kakashi said harshly.

'And theeeeeeeere it is,'
I thought solemnly.

"What do you mean 'give up'?!" Yelled Naruto.

'...I'm so sorry Naruto... I failed you...'
I hung my head even lower.

"Not one of you has what it takes!" Kakashi spat.

I noticed Sasuke gritting his teeth, he suddenly charged and gasps echoed around the clearing.

As he neared Kakashi, there was a flurry of movement before the dust cleared and sensei was sat on Sasuke's back.

Despite the dismal mood, I couldn't help but giggle at the memory of when I sat on the stalker's back.

"What's your problem Aki?
Finding it funny that you failed?" Kakashi taunted.

"Uh... Don't mind me, just having a déjà vu moment," I replied, undaunted by his harsh accusations, giving stalker-kun a knowing smirk.

Sasuke glared even harder than he already was.

"Your a bunch of spoiled brats," Kaka-San continued.

"Don't step on Sasuke! Get off of him!" Sakura screeched.

"Are you trying to tarnish the name of shinobi with your behaviour?
Well, are you?"
Kakashi glared hard at us.

"Did you even stop to think why you were divided into teams?"

I furrowed my brows, "YES!"

He ignored me and carried on,
"so you missed the entire point of the exercise."

"It had a point?" Naruto blurted.

"Of course. And that point determines whether or not you would succeed," he sneered.

"But... You haven't explained what it is!" Sakura shouted.

I sighed, giving her a pointed look,
"What? Do you want him to hold our hand and walk us through it?
There's be no point to any of this if he just tells us the answer.
We have to figure it out on our own..."

"Exactly right, Aki, yet despite this knowledge you still couldn't complete the task, it's disappointing considering you are a long-term student of mine."

I pursed my lips, heat blossoming in my cheeks as I felt a wave of shame.

"Does any one of you know what the purpose of this exercise was?" He questioned.

I grit my teeth, sick of being chewed out when it was mostly the arrogance of the team.
'I was the only one who knew the answer! If anyone should pass, it's me!'

"Of course!" I yelled,
"TEAMWORK!"

Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke all widened their eyes in surprise at my outburst.

"...correct," Kakashi said quietly.

There was a silence as my team hung their heads in guilt, probably thinking about how they turned down my offer of teaming up.

'Damn right.'

"There's no way in hell one of us genin could hope to steal anything from sensei," I barked,
"We were supposed to comprehend this early on and understand we'd have to work together in order to achieve the aim.
It's a reflection of the situations we will encounter in the field that will require seamless teamwork from every member of our squad."
