A Few Tools Short...

Aki's P.O.V.

'That stupid, giant, imbecile!!'

I glared at my irritating summoning who insisted on embarrassing me constantly.

He was now staring at something behind me but I couldn't care less, my arms felt like they'd been removed from their sockets.

"What'd I say, Byakko! Go back! You're doing more hindering than he--- ugh!"

Suddenly, an overwhelming malicious energy washed over my senses, sending my mind swimming.

Byakko supported me as I stumbled, "are you alright master?!! What's wrong?!!"

I took deep breaths to adjust to the powerful pressure in the air.
"It must be a strong ninja nearby..."
I spoke so only he and I could hear whilst Naruto and the others played out their hair-brained antics.
'Wait... 'Others'? Ugh... I don't even care right now...'

"Kaka-sensei told me that the strange sensations I get around other ninja are because of my natural sensory abilities...
But the only other time I'd felt such a hateful aura was when..."

I glanced over my shoulder at Naruto, more like at his stomach where I could clearly sense the seal humming healthily.

'If it's not his kyuubi... Then...'

"Hey! That hurt you little brat!"

My eyes flitted over to the new ninja who'd appeared.

I stood up straight, releasing Byakko's hold and stepping away to get a better view.

'Hmmm, the malicious aura doesn't seem to be coming from the boy in the cat-suit or the girl with the giant fan...
Hey...
Aren't they from the village hidden in the sand?
Oh... Is it that time of year again?'

The boy in the strange suit picked up a small boy by his collar, constricting it around his throat.

My eyes widened before I narrowed them, 'that's Hokage-sama's grandson! Little Konohamaru!'

"I said, that hurt snotface!" Cat-man grumbled, tightening his hold.

I grit my teeth, scrunching my nose up at him.
"You mean that little boy hurt you just by running into you?
That's pathetic, aren't you supposed to be a ninja?" I jeered.

He growled then whirled his head round to me.
He took in my appearance and smirked.
"That's big talk coming from a cute little girl. Maybe if you apologise, I'll forgive you~ I'll even put the kid down, what'd ya say?~"

Byakko growled and clenched his fists but I stopped him with a hand gesture, retaining my cool and calm exterior, staring icily at the foreign ninja.

But I failed to remember that Naruto was still present... *sigh*.

"Put him down, you big ape!!" Naruto yelled.

'Big ape' grew an irk mark and glared at Naruto.
"I just wanna play with him a little... While we're waiting for the nuisance to get here..."

He tightened his hold on Konohamaru, almost cutting off the poor kid's air.

I clenched my fists but remained calm, sizing up the situation.

"You!"
Naruto charged, fists flailing.

The foreign ninja twitched his fingers strangely and Naruto fell on his butt.
"Gaah!!"
