Naruto's P.O.V

I watched in anguish as he tried to sit on the ground.
Desperately trying to hide his wince of pain as his stomach tensed, he shadowed his face with his short flowing hair.

After a short struggle he sat cross-legged in the dewy grass.
He smiled up at me to try and hide his agony but all I saw was the pain in his eyes.

'It's all my fault. He's in pain because of me... I did this to him...'

All of a sudden my cheek stung with the heat of a vicious slap.
I didn't move, staying still with wide eyes.

"I know what you're thinking and it's annoying because I told you not to!" He said angrily.

I frowned in the silence, thinking hard.

'I remember... On the battle-field he said 'it wasn't your fault...' But I don't see how it couldn't be. I stabbed him with my grotesquely clawed hand... How could it not be my fault.'

He pulled me to the ground roughly by my arm, seating me beside him with a huff.

"The reason the nine tail's chakra took control was because--"

"Because I was too weak and gave into temptation!" I interrupted,
"If I had been stronger I wouldn't have hurt-- ah!"

He hit me on the head with his closed fist, an infuriated expression on his face.

He cleared his throat after sending me a vicious glare.
"Was because... Of the chakra I released on the battle-field."

I tilted my head.
"Huh?"

"My clan has a special quality to our chakra that can allow us to inhibit the performance of seals," he said with a sigh.

"Uuuuuh.... Say what now??"

I was totally confused.

He sighed again.
"Imagine a seal is like an electrical circuit.
Furasshu chakra gets into the seal and acts as a block, closing off the circuit and stopping the current," he explained.
"You understand?"

I nodded slowly.

"Your seal is incredibly complicated, the equivalent of thousands of circuits. But even a little bit of my disrupting chakra can cause the exposure of a part of Kurama, releasing its chakra. When I di--"

"Who's Kurama?" I interrupted again.

He bonked me on the head... Again.

"The name of your kyuubi.
Now.
When I di---"

"What's a kyuubi?"

This time he punched me on the nose.

"It's a tailed beast and Kurama is the name of the nine-tailed beast!
...
Jashin help me..." He muttered.

I held my bleeding nose as he continued, once more.

"When I did the light style: brilliant flash no jutsu, I released a lot of my chakra into the area.
Some of this got into the seal and coupled with your overwhelmed emotional state, allowed part of Kurama to escape and fuel you with its chakra.
Therefore, it was my reckless use of chakra that caused the incident on the bridge, and my injury, to happen," he finished with a determined look.
