Brendon:
I start to wake up and I'm surprised when I don't feel Asteria next to me. She's probably in the bathroom. I stretch and get out of bed, grabbing my boxers and jeans and sliding each of them on. I look for my phone to check the time and don't feel it in any of my pockets. I see the small blinking light on the floor and assume it fell out. When I unlock the screen my heart freezes. I see the text messages from Dallon from a few months ago and my stomach churns, first at the fact that I was that kind of a person and then at the realization that I'm not the only one that read these.
D: did you check on her? you're taking forever. unless ur already fucking in the breakroom lol
B: shut the fuck up lol she's following me into the studio right now. nothing yet. she's fiesty.
D: you've always been the one to be up for a challenge
B: yeah but have you seen this challenge's ass? lmao
D: i doubt you'll get her today
B: probably. she's a little bitchy. maybe tomorrow.
This can't be real. She didn't see this. What would have even brought her to seeing it? She isn't the kind of person that would just go through my phone just because they felt like it. I keep scrolling through the conversation, unsure of what else she may have seen.
D: Brendon who the fuck did you leave that party with?
B: she wasn't anything. i just needed to let out some steam.
D: how many times do i have to tell you not to fuck this up, bren. this is the kind of shit im talking about
B: well its not like we're actually together
I start tugging at my hair. She must have seen these. I have to find her. She has to still be here. I rush out of my room and step on something. What the fuck was that? When I look down it's Dallon's phone. He must have texted me. I scroll down the conversation to today and I'm positive that she isn't in this room at all as soon as I read it.
and to think we thought it would only take day or two to sleep with the prudy silver haired girl when you met her in that studio. glad you finally pulled through with a challenge lol
This is wrong. This looks so much worse than it is. She can't just leave me...She can't just walk out and not come back...What time did she leave? How long has she been gone?
I run back to the room and put on shoes and pull a hoodie over my head. I run out and ride the elevator to the lobby, hoping I'll see her there. When I see exactly how empty it is I rush to the front desk.
"Excuse me, did a tiny silver haired girl book a room here at all tonight?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"She didn't book one but I saw her leave and get into a car," he tells me. My heart completely falls out of my chest.
"Do you know where she went?"
"If I did it would be against our confidentiality agreement to tell you. I'm sorry, sir."
I feel my world slowly falling apart. I can't breathe. I can't see. Things are starting to blur. Dallon. Where's Dallon? I run to the stairwell and take the steps all the way up, fighting to breathe and calm down and I burst back into the room. I throw Dallon's bedroom door open and start shaking him.
"Dallon. Dallon!" I yell and he jumps awake.
"What? Dude, stop fucking waking me up!"
"Asteria's gone," I choke out and when I say it I break. I start crying and he knows I'm being serious.
