Chapter 11

That night I woke up at around 3 o'clock with a sore throat 'cause yes werewolfs also get the normal sicknesses like throat aches. I Walked over to the Bathroom to get myself a glass of water when i overheard my dad talking on the phone. "Where is it?" "Okay so 3rd street on the right!" "Yea no I understand!, we'll keep this one quiet so the town doesn't freak out to much." I had heard enough after that sentence. It was bassicly the Same as, someone's dead, so i quickly Walked back to my room and put on my shoes. I opened my window quickly climbing out of it and running across the street towards Tyler's house whilst I texted him to come outside.

When I reached his house he was already waiting for me. "Dead person?" "Sounds like it!" "Did you contact the others?" "No not yet, not untill i'm sure." "Okay let's go then." We both starting running towards the street I thought my dad was talking about. And as we came closer I could already hear the officers talking about how they would call this another animal attack. "Alpha." I whispered to Tyler. "Jep!" We kept running untill we reached the 'crime' scene where we stopped and hid behind a car that was Parked close by. "How many?" Tyler asked as i tried to take a look at the scene. "It looks like one but I can't see it properly." "Any sign of a car?" "Nope, just a lot of blood!" "Does the body still have a head?" "Yea...it looks like a boy." "Old?" "No fairly young." "That right there is Matthew." The high pitched voice took me by suprise but as I looked up it made a lot more sense. "Come with me." Bella said as she started to walk away. Me and Tyler followed her to a small path she Walked in, halfway down the path she stopped and turned around to face us. "He was with Kelly, another girl in my pack, when the alpha showed up. She managed to escape with mild injury's and immidiately told me Matthew was in trouble but I was to late." "Where is she now?" "Darius, he's taking care of her." "And the rest of your pack." "Hiding in different places all accross this town, I don't want them to be all together 'cause if the alpha would find us then we would all be dead. I go from one Hiding spot to another if you were wondering." "Well I guess this only makes the situation worse." "You guys need to find the alpha real quick before we all die!" She said sounding extremely urgent and serious. "We haven't really come that far yet." "Well work harder then!" She said before walking away and disapearing in thin air.

The next day I stood in front of Devan's door knocking on it. After a few minutes a middle aged lady opened, she had slightly tanned skin, dark dirty blonde hair and a really friendly smile. "Hey i'm a friend of Devan's, is he home?" "Yes he's up stairs.., may I ask who you are?" "Off course, my name is Alex." I said smiling at her. "Well you are a really pretty lady Alex!" She said smiling back. "Thank you." "Mom!" Devan's voice yelled from up stairs. "Your friend is here!" She yelled back. "I know, can you please just leave her alone!" His response made me chuckle. "I think you should better go up stairs." His mother said also laughing a little. I nodded at her and made my way up stairs to his room.

"Hey." I said as I Walked in. "Hey!" He said back smiling. "Can I...sit?" I said pointing to the chair in the corner of his room. "Yea off course just throw the shit on it aside!" He said nodding. I did as he said a throwed the clothes that were laying on it to the side and sat down. "This uh...this might be a bit weird but I just felt like coming over to talk to you." "Yea we haven't really talked have we?" "Not really no, i've been keeping myself busy with Ben 'cause he and Tyler don't really get a long but I was just really curious at how you were doing." "Well i'm okay I guess, keeping everything from my parents is hard because i'm out so much but i'm trying my best to help you guys as much as I can and the training with Tyler has been going great i'm able to Control myself during full Moon's and my parents haven't noticed anything so..." "You don't have to prove me you know." "What?" He asked raising his eyebrow. "I know you have to prove Tyler that you're doing good but you don't have to prove me that you can Control your shifts and that you haven't told anyone anything, I just wanna know how YOU are." "That's is actually something I really Needed to hear." He said smiling. "I know, I really do." I said smiling back "And uh, to answer your question i've actually been having a lot of sleepless nights and panic attacks and.....i'm just so quickly really scared." "I can imagine that." I said looking him straight in the eye, his face was indeed looking extremely tired and his eyes almost closed from the puffyness. "How was it for you?" "For me?" "Yea, growing up like a werewolf..how was it?" "It was and still is hard, when I was little I had no friends because I was scared of hurting people, my dad would help me Control during full Moon's and would always tell me how many friends I would have if I just opened up but I was to scared, I was so scared of myself I wouldn't go outside unless I had school and I never went into the Woods scared of what was waiting for me. I was so sure I would die all alone, looking in the mirror when I changed was the hardest thing ever I hated my nails, my fangs the extra hair I got on my face I hated all of it. I didn't want to be what I thought was a monster, that was untill I met Tyler. I bumped into him in the grocery store one day and I just knew he was like me. After bumping into each other a few times we finally started talking and soon we became friends. Really close friends, he tought me how to appreciate what I had, and how to put it to good use. We made a code, we would Protect everybody that couldn't protect themselfs that way I could use my power, my supernatural gift, to good use. That's why we were hunting the alpha even before he bit you, he was killing what we thought were innocent mundane's, that's also why I made Darius save your life when you were turning. I don't kill and neither does Tyler, and I want you to know that you don't have to either." After I was done talking we were both silent for a little bit. "You and Tyler make it look so easy." Devan finally said. "I never realised you could of have gone through so much shit." "Well all I want is for you to know that it's normal to have bad days but that there should also be good days." "Well i'm just glad to hear i'm not the only one feeling terrible sometimes." "You are far from the only one, and trust me Tyler's story is way worse."
