After the last Bell rang me, Ben and Devan Walked out of school. The three of us were planning on going to Tyler's house to see if we could gather some information and potential suspects. But as we began to walk a heavily breathing girl came running our way. She was quite short with black long locks falling down her shoulders, her eyes were wide out of shock and her hands were shaking. "You are Devan, right?" She breathed. "Yes?" Devan said in a questioning voice. "They need you!" "Who needs me?" "Uh...uhm...it's, d-down....uhm." "Just Breath!" I said laying my hand on her shoulder, her eyes switched from Devan's to mine as she started taking deep and long breaths. "Oak street, you know..." "Down the middle of the town." I said finishing her sentence as she managed to fully speak a few words without stopping to Breath. "What has happened?" Devan asked. "I don't know, I saw the cops and they were talking about you." "Is my dad there?" I asked raising my eyebrow. "I don't know, what does he look like?" "Short messy gray hair, about 6,1 and a army green coat." "Yea! Yea he looked at me! He looked worried." "Okay thank you!" I said as the three of us quickly started walking towards Oak street.
"Do you think someone of Bella's pack died?" Ben asked looking over at me. "The chances are pretty big." "That would leave 6, plus Ally and Bella." "I'm starting to think we won't be able to save any of them." "Well keep trying." "Do you guys not find it weird that that girl came out of no where and told me they need me!" Devan said opening his mouth for the first time after we had left the girl. "She probably just knows who you are from the football team." "Yea but, school JUST finished, how could she have gotten from Oak street back to the school in such a short period of time." "You're probably just seeing ghost's." Ben said not really bothering to much about the girl. "Well since I now know that werewolfs, and werepanthers and witches and Warlocks and fucking dragon's excist I wouldn't be to suprised if that girl...!" "Devan calm down! We'll, talk to her after we found out what has happened." I said grabbing his hand and giving it a light squeze. He slowly turned his head to and mouthed a thank you before squezing back.
When we finally arrived to Oak street a Bunch of people had gathered around the yellow tape, as they saw us coming they all turned their heads and started whispering and crying. "Come." I mumbled holding the tape up so the boys could go under it. "Alex!" My dad yelled. "I'm not going." I mumbled completely ignoring him. "Alex get Devan out of here!" He yelled making my head snap to Devan who looked confused. "Ben get him out!" Tyler yelled coming out of no where. "Guys what's going on?" I asked turning from Devan to Tyler and then to my dad. "What did you do when you left me yesterday?" Tyler asked running his hand through his hair. "I went to Devan!" "Shit!" My dad mumbled. "What?!" I asked again. "What!" I now yelled after nobody answered. "If you won't tel me I.....I will, fuck it!" I yelled as I Walked towards the ambulance stepping in the big puddles of blood and locks of hair that were ripped out of, whoever. As I turned to look who was in the ambulance I couldn't get myself to even gasp. Without making any noise I fell to my knees letting my blue jeans turn red from the blood. "She's dead." My dad managed to mumble as he layed his hands on my shoulders, I could hear he was struggling to hold tears back. I only realised I hadn't been breathing when I let my hands fall on the ground and started gasping for air. My head was bend down letting my blonde locks fall into the puddle. "WHAT'S GOING ON!" Devan yelled, I only now also realised Devan had been yelling the whole time. "I can't hold him!" Ben groaned. "WHAT WON'T YOU TELL ME!" "FACK!" Ben screamed as he lost grip of Devan who'm immidiately ran towards the ambulance. He however did manage to get something out of his mouth.
"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
He yelled bursting into the ambulance. "Devan!" Tyler said grabbing him by the shirt. "Devan don't do that!" "Mom no!" Devan cried. "DEVAN GET OUT!" Tyler yelled trying to get him out without Changing to his wolf self. "NO!" Devan growled obviously already giving into the wolf inside him. "DEVAN THIS IS WHAT HE WANTS!" My dad yelled. "He wants you to expose yourself." My dad said now mumbling. "She's dead." He said finally finishing. Devan slowly climbed out of the ambulance looking at me, which is when I finally looked up and got myself to stand up. "I told you." He mumbled letting the tears fall down his face. "I-i-i told you, I w-w-wanted her d-d-dead." He said as he now burst into tears. "Devan this isn't your fault." I said as I Pulled him into a hug. Letting myself burst into tears. "It is! It did exactly what I said!" "You didn't mean it!" "That doesn't matter now does it!" "Yes it does Devan!" "IT DOESN'T ALEX, SHE'S DEAD NOW!" He screamed pulling out of the hug. "BUT YOU LOVED HER, AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!" "How am I going to live." He mumbled letting his head fall back on my shoulder. "I don't know." I mumbled being as honest as I could knowing he could hear it when i'd lie.
When I finally released Devan from the tight hug I had been holding him in for the past 30 minutes I looked over at Tyler and Ben, Ben's face was stained from the tears he had cried and Tyler's arm was around his shoulders trying to comfort him. His second mother had just died and I couldn't even begin to imagine what it would feel like. "Oh Ben." Devan mumbled pulling his best friend of a lifetime into a hug. "He's a dead man." Tyler said walking over to me. "And she's a dead women." I said nodding over to the ambulance fighting back the tears again. "We can't change that now, but we sure as hell are going to make sure no one else dies!" "Oh heck we are!" I said feeling more angry then i'd ever felt.
