The next day I found myself sitting at football practise watching Devan play, Ben was sitting on the bench watching his team. I felt kinda bad for him, he was that weird kid that nobody ever saw. I can't even imagine having a best friend who's always the centre of attention. I mean he's dealing with it very well but yesterday, when we were talking and he let down his guard you could just see he was hurt. And not just a little.

"He's doing good."

I snapped out of my thoughts looking at Tyler who had come to sit next to me. "I thought you hated high school." I said smiling. "Just thought i'd stop by and take a look at my project." "Haha, he's still a person not a thing." "I know, I know." "And yea he's doing good." "Has he played against another team yet?" "No just Hitting the mats, why?" "Real people are what will make him angry." "So what are you saying?" "That we better work on that before he has to play against someone else." "Well then I guess you have plans for this afternoon." "I guess so too, what are you going to do?" "Probably meet up with Ben, he wanted to help us find out who the alpha is." "You think that Dumb little twig can help you?" "I can at least give him a chance." "In waisting your time." "Tyler!" "It's true though." "He might be really smart!" "Or really stupid!" "Guess we'll find out!"

After practise I indeed went home with Ben who actually didn't even live that far from me.

"So uh, this is my room." He said as he opened the door and let me walk in. He had exactly what i thought a boys room would look like, dark colors and just your regulare bed, desk and closet. "Nice." I said looking around. "Yea it's actually clean for once, i uh...cleaned up." He said grabbing a few things that were still laying around and quickly placing them in a corner. "It's cleaner than my room." I chuckled noticing he was nervous. He chuckled too before quickly walking over to his desk and sitting down. "I already did some searching." He said opening up his laptop. I grabbed a chair that was standing in the corner and came sitting down next to him. It was actually the first time I realised he had these bright blue gorgeous eyes that really shone. "Here look, I made a document." He said showing me a full on document of people who were potentionally the alpha and motives of the killings, he even had pictures of all the dead people and things that could possibly link them. "You should hang this up." I said with my mouth wide open from suprise. "Is...is it good?" "This is amazing!"

I sighed out of relief when I took a step back to take a look at a wall that was now full of pictures, strings, sticky notes and even a drawing of what the alpha looked like. "This looks awesome!" I said smiling. "It does actually." Ben said nodding his head at his creation. "How did you find all this?" "Just doing some research." "You make it sound so easy." I said chuckling. "It wasn't." He said chuckling aswell. "Even thought about joining the sherrif's departement?" "I've kinda always wanted that." "Really?" "Yea, I find solving mysteries very interesting." "You should go to my dad sometime, he's the head sherrif." "That's so cool!" "You think?" "Yea, your dad is like the protector of the town." "I guess, but that isn't going to well at this moment." "True but what human could possibly could stop a werewolf alpha." "That's a good point."

"This may sound weird but.." Ben suddenly said after we both had been quiet for a while, just staring at the wall. "I keep forgetting what you are." He said finishing his sentence. "How's that weird? I wish I could do that." "Well I mean it's not like you're nothing." "Honestly Ben, I really wish I could forget." "Why, I mean isn't it like pretty cool?" "Sometimes, but most of the time it's one big battlefield." "Have you ever wished you were normal?" "When I was little I would cry myself to sleep because I hated it so much, that Luckily changed though, when I met Tyler he told me that no matter how much I hated it it wasn't ever going to change so I just had to except it." "He doesn't really like me does he?" "Who?" "Tyler!" "He'll get there." "Why doesn't he like me?" "It just takes time Ben." "But he likes Devan." "That's because Devan is a werewolf and we need that to stop the alpha, you, right now, in his eyes are just a human." "Will he like me eventually?" "Off course!"

"I will never like that boy!" Tyler yelled in my face. "He made this awesome...whatever it's called...linking the dead body's to each other and he even has a few people that might be the alpha!" "Does he have anything solid?" "No..not yet but..." "Then he's no use Alex!" "Just give him a chance!" "No!" "Tyler please!" "Alex!" "Please!" "No it's a waist of our time!" "He has found more in one day then we could in a year!" "I DON'T CARE!" "I DO!" "Alex it's no use to have a mundane help us, he won't be able to help us fight the alpha!" "But he can at least tell us who the alpha is! That has to count for something!" "Fine..,one chance!" "Great! Thanks." "But if he fucks it up i will never talk to him ever again." "Copy that!"

"So Devan, how's it going?" I said as I Walked into the old factory. "It's going okay I guess." "That doesn't sound to great." "I changed every time Tyler ran into me." "That's your anger, you get to angry to easily." "That's exactly what Tyler said." "Try to hold on to something, to keep you from getting angry." "That's also exactly what Tyler said, but it just doesn't work." "What have you been trying to hold on to then?" "My dog." I chuckled at what he said. "You're trying to stay human and to do that you think about a dog!" "What else can i think about?" "Someone close to you! Your parents?" "I'm adopted." "Ah so you're like Tyler." "Is he adopted too?" "Yea, he is." "What does he think about?" "I don't know he never told me." "What could I possibly think about then?" "Think about Ben!" "Ben?" "He's your best friend isn't he?" "Yea but..." "Just try it!" "Okay, I guess I could try." "Awesome, okay i'll just run into you then." I said as I Walked over so I could stand in front of him. When we were both ready I started running bumping full force into his shoulder. As I fell to the ground and looked over my shoulder I saw Tyler was standing in the exact Same position. "Good job man!" I said as I layed my hand on his shoulder.
