Chapter 20

"How have your parents been?" I asked Devan as I sat down next to him during chemistry. "My dad has been, excepting it, sort of, he's still a bit taken by suprise and can't help but ask the question 'this really isn't a Joke is it.' But it's better then I expected." "And your mum?" "Not as much, she's paranoïde and convinced someone will come and kill her." "To be fairly honest I would be the Same." "Trust me if my kid would come up to me saying he's a dragon i'd probably faint!" Devan said smiling. I chuckled at his choosen mythical creature. "You know they say they excist." "Dragons?!" "Yea, i've never seen one but Darius is convinced he has!" "How can you not know if you've seen a dragon?!" "It was a dark night, one of those special ones when there's no Moon, he couldn't see anything when he was going through a field. He only felt the warm Breath in his neck and heard the big wings clap." "Have others seen them?" "According to some very old Warlocks they have." "Yea how is that! Isn't Darius a warlock instead of a witch?!" "That's all really complicated, I honestly still don't completely get the difference myself."

"Ally what are you doing here?" I asked as I saw her waiting outside of the classroom. "You guys have to come!" "To what? What's going on?" "There's not much time, we have to go!" "We have to get Ben first!" Devan said as Ben was no where to be seen. "Well quickly find him then, we really don't have much time!" "Okay, Devan you take left I take right!" "Got it!"

"Ben!" I yelled through the corridor as everybody was rushing to there next class. "BEN!" Some people looked at me with a weird expression and others whispered whilst laughing. Funny thing was I could hear exactly what they were saying. "Come on where are you." I mumbled feeling my pulse rise as I was wondering what Ally was talking about. "BEN!" I yelled again. I ran all the way to the end of the corridor pushing myself to the crowd whilst looking around. When I reached the end a saw Devan stand there looking around. "I can't find him!" I said as I Walked over to him. "Me neither, could he be upstairs?" "Maybe, I guess." Not even five seconds later we were both running up the stairs. "Come on Alex." I heard Ally's voice mumble. "Devan quick!" I said as I pointed him to go right so I could take the left side. I was looking into all the classrooms 'till I stopped halfway through. "Thank god." I mumble as I saw Ben stand in a classroom. I quickly opened the door clearly taking him by suprise as he slightly jumped to the side. "Jeez Alex." He mumble as he returned his attention to his little wooden project thingy. "Ben you have to come!" I said tapping the glass in the wall. When he didn't immidiately come I Walked over to him and grabbed him by his arm. "NOW!" I said as I dragged him back to the door. "DEVAN I GOT HIM!" "Okay great, let's go!" "What's going on?" Ben said frowning. "Ally needs us!"

As we stood outside of the school Ally finally opened her mouth. "Here, smell it!" She said handing me a strand of hair. I carefully took it from her placing it against my nose. "I smell nothing." I mumbled. "Exactly!" "So what does it mean?" The oh so well known voice of Tyler said. "You called him!" Ben spat pointing at Tyler who'm had come to stand next to me. "Yes I called him!" Ally said. "So what does it mean!" I asked repeating Tyler's question. "Bella found five dead body's at one of the Hiding spots, this is what she found there. And it's not from us!" "Wait hold up! Another 5! How many are there left?" "About 7 or so." "Jeez." Ben mumbled. "So you guys think this is from the alpha." "Yes." "Well it doesn't really help does it, I mean if it doesn't have a sent." "It's not the only thing she found." Ally said putting the strand of hair back and taking something else out. "What is it?" I asked as I looked at what she was holding in her hand. "A Tiny piece of Wood, it comes from the old Oak tree, it's to small to make a ring or anything out of it. But holding it already brings back a good amount of power." "Why would he leave that there?" "To show us he has already found it, and if we aren't quick he'll take all that's left." "I'm sorry Ally but last time didn't go well at all, i'm not letting everybody go through that again." Tyler said sounding genuily sorry. "You promissed Bella you'd help." "We know, but if it comes down to it, I chose my own pack." "Isn't there anything you can do." "Even when he's weak he's to strong, i'm sorry." "There has to be a way around it." Ben mumbled. "What do you mean by that?" Ally asked curiously. "There needs to be a different way, he has to have a weak spot or something." "Well untill Einstein here finds something you're on your own Ally." Tyler said as he Walked away. "Sorry Ally." Devan said as he went after Tylee leaving her standing with her mouth wide open. "Ben's extremely smart Ally, i'll make sure we find something to help you!" I said as I layed my hand on her shoulder and turned to Ben. "I promise i'll do my best to find something."  He said smiling.
