Never Noticed (Embry Call Love Story)

Melissa's (Chapter 1)

My POV

I walk right into Melissa's house Melissa's home is like my second home and Melissa's mom, Julie is more of a mother to me than my biological mother is.

"Good morning, Frankie" Julie says smiling at me.

"Morning, Julie" I replied with a smile. I sniffed the air smelling something very delicious.

"What are making?" I ask her with a sly smile while walking over to the kitchen to check out what she's making

"I'm baking some cupcakes, my famous red velvet ones." She grinned

"Yum, my favorite. Is Mel in her room?" I ask her forgetting for a second why I had gone over

"Of course" I nodded and walked upstairs. When I was passing Embry's room it was slightly open. He is passed out. His head is on his pillow while his arm is dangling off the side and he is snoring as loud as a wolf. I giggle at the scene, but he doesnt even wake up or even stir. I continue to walk to Melissa's room and open the door without knocking like I always do.

"Aye chick" I tell her with a nod of my head

"Sup" She replies and nods her head back. We both start to laugh. When we stop laughing we hear Embry snoring away.

"Dude, he snores so loud. He's been getting really angry lately, like slamming doors and yelling at my mom" Melissa says sadly.

"That's what Jared use to do."

"You mean before he joined the gang or cult or whatever Sam Uley has" Melissa answers with attitude

"I don't think that he is in any type of gang. Jared says it's nothing bad" I reply and she snorts.

"I think Embry may be taking steroids. Honestly, he's bulked up so much and even grown a lot. He is out all hours of the night and sneaking in early in the morning or late at night. He then passes out right away and snores like this. And then the cycle continues the next day. We used to be so close, but now he won't even look at me." Melissa tells me. I remember when her and Embry used to hang out all the time. Embry and I have never been close so whenever I would go over all we really did was say 'Hi' to one another that was about it. I'm not gonna lie Embry is kind of cute, but that's it.

"I'm sorry Mel, but Jared said it's not a bad thing he promised me. I'm his princess he would never lie to me" When I tell her that a grin plasters on her face.

"You're so spoiled by him I swear he gets you whatever you want" She replies looking glum because that's exactly how Embry used to be with her. She was so spoiled by him she was his baby sister and loved her to death.

"Hey, he'll come around. I promise" I assure her in a whispering tone. She just nods her head, but I know she doesn't believe me.

"Let's play some video games?" I suggest to make Melissa happy and out of her gloomy mood.

"Sure" After playing for about 20 minutes we hear footsteps come up the stairs. And that's when Julie walks in.

"Frankie, are you staying for dinner?" She asks me. I didn't even have to think about it for a second

"Sure" I reply and she smiles and walks back downstairs of course closing the door behind her.

Dinner time

"Girls, Embry, dinner" Julie yells up the stairs. Melissa and I walk out of the room laughing and I accidently bump into Embry. I didn't even bother looking up

"Ohh sorry" I mumbled as I was still talking to Melissa, but I did see her glare at Embry. If looks could kill Embry would be dead. We walk downstairs and sit at the dining room table.
