Never Noticed (Embry Call Love Story)

Chapter 21

Embry's POV

            Once dinner was over we walked up to my room. Frankie walked in first then me and I shut the door. She sat down on my right after she took off her shoes and sat cross legged.

            "I saw that look during dinner" I said as she was staring ahead

            She didn't respond "Frankie" I said slowly

            "Huh come again" She asked she hadn't been paying attention

            "I said I saw that look in your eyes at dinner. What's wrong?"

            She shrugged "I just got this bad feeling in my stomach."

            I sat down next to her "About what?" I asked sweetly.

            "When Melissa and Collin left like I feel like Melissa is going to get hurt soon maybe not today, or tomorrow or within this week, but I think it'll be sometime next week." She said

My POV

            Saturday night, we decided to have a huge sleep over at Emily's all the boys and the imprints including Emma. It sort of like a date night. We were all on the floor eating popcorn and watching the movie Ted when we heard something. Well at least I did and a few of the boys.

            "Embry" I whispered and he nodded. I had been laying on his chest so I lifted myself up. Jake, Jared and Paul walked out to see what was going on. A few minutes later Jared comes in.

            "Sam we need you now" He spoke tensely. All of us imprints looked at one another while Seth, Leah and Quil got up and followed their leader. I strained my ear to listen to what was going on.

            "I don't know what is it supposed to mean?" I heard Quil ask

            "Is it a warning?" Jake asked

            "Sounds more like a threat" Paul mutters and I roll my eyes.

            "I never thought there'd be a rabid pack out there somewhere" Sam said in his usual stern and tense voce. My eyes went wide and I got up to walk outside

            "Frankie, were are you going?" Kim asked

            "To go take a piss" I said and walked outside shutting the door behind me. I walked over to the boys without them noticing until I was actually right there beside Embry

            "Frankie what go back inside" Sam told me.

            "Uhm no I kind of deserve to know about this I am not only an imprint, but a hybrid. You guys are talking about a threat. So what is going on I want to see." I explained they all looked at one another nervously. As if I wouldn't notice Jared, Jake and Paul stood in front of a tree. I tried figuring a way between, but I couldn't so I had to quickly crawl underneath.

            "What the fuck!" I heard Paul shout and I smirked even though I knew they couldn't see it. I looked and in red spray paint was written

            "We're coming" and a note was attached to the tree. I ripped it off and opened it up reading it out loud

            Hand over the girl and no one gets hurt. Don't do it and your whole town will be destroyed.

            "The girl what-" I stopped myself mid sentence coming to the realization that they were talking about me.

            "We won't let anything happen to you Frankie" Sam promised. I just shook my head. I couldn't let my friends and family (the pack and imprints) get hurt that just wasn't going to happen I just couldn't let that happen.

            "No, if handing me over is going to keep everyone here on the rez safe then it's okay that's what'll happen" I said lowly not even being completely sure I was okay with being handed over.

            "No no no, we are the protectors were are going to protect you." Embry stated putting his hand on my shoulder. Once he did that I immediately shrugged it off.

            "No, I'm not going to put everyone in danger just because I want to stay alive."

            "Frankie, stop this we're going to figure out a way out of this without giving you up or letting anybody get hurt" Jared told me soothingly. I shoved my face into his chest

            "You promise, Jarebear?" I mumbled he chuckled a bit, I felt his chest rumble

            "We all promise" He promised. I took my face out and looked and saw all the guys nodding. They were going to keep me safe. I smiled and we all walked back into the house Embry grabbing my hand and kissing the top of my head before entering the house to finish our movie night.

-I know this is short, but I kind of wanted to leave it as a cliffhanger to what will happen next. Any predictions?
