Never Noticed (Embry Call Love Story)

Chapter 10

My POV

            I wake up completely confused and frazzled.

            "Where am I?" I ask myself and somebody answers

            "You're home sis. I had to bring you home, you fainted after Billy told you that you are a hybrid" Jared explains and I nod remembering exactly what happened.

            "Why did I faint?" I ask him.

            "Billy Black says it was all too much for you. That you aren't used to using your hybrid part of you and using it with the leech the exhaustion from it just kicked in." I nod.

            "That's awesome I am a freakin' wolf and vampire cool!" I squeal with a smile plastered on my face and Jared just laughs

            "Yeah, Billy says tomorrow he will talk to you about it some more, but for today just rest up." Jared tells me and walks out of my room. I grab my laptop from my desk and go back to my bed. I open it up and go on the internet first going onto YouTube listening to Ariana Grande- The Way. I open up another tab and decide to do some college searching. I've already sent in a few applications to some colleges, but I need back up colleges. I sing along to the song, but am interrupted by Jared knocking

            "What?" I call looking up at the door as Jared walks in.

            "Here's some mail for you" He says and throws me 5 different envelopes. He walks out and I sit cross legged on my bed looking at all the envelopes.

            2 from Minnesota

            1 from Montana

            1 from WSU (Washington State)

            And another from New York. All college letters.

            I open all of them well four of them and they all say the same thing. I have been rejected from their college. I open up the New York letter. It is from The New York Institute of Photography.

            "Dear Frankie Cameron

We were delighted to receive your application and happy to let you know you have been accepted to early acceptance. Meaning you will be starting next fall. We arranged everything with your school and happy to say you could graduate a year earlier."

            OMG! I scream at the top of my lungs. Instantly, I hear steps running up the stairs and Jared appears in my room

            "What's wrong?" He asks quickly

            "I got in." I say holding up the paper and he gives me a confused look. "I have been accepted for early acceptance at The New York Institute of Photography." His face cracks into a huge smile and he runs to me picking me up and spinning me around.

            "Frank that is great! What exactly is early acceptance?" He asks

            "Well, it means I can start next fall. So after this school year, I can graduate and start during the fall" I explain

            "We have to tell everyone" He says as he picks up his cell and I stop him

            "No! I'm not even sure I'm going" I admit to him while looking down

            "Why wouldn't you go?"

            "I have family. Embry, and La Push is all I've known. New York is 10x bigger than this small rez." I explained

            "Frank, you can't let fear override your dreams"

            I sigh loudly "Yeah, I know just please don't tell anyone"

            "My lips are sealed" Jared says and pretends to lock his lips making me laugh.

            "I'm going over to Emily's wanna come?"

            "No, I just want to stay home. You are the one who said I need to rest" I replied with a smirk and he playfully rolls his eyes

            "Yeah, well you can still rest up at Em's, but okay. See you later then" Jared says. He grabs my head and bends down kissing my forehead. I smile and watch him walk out of my room.

            I sit on my bed and just think. I can finally leave this rez, but my one true love lives here. For the next hour I was having a debate in my mind that I didn't even hear anyone knock at my door. I look up and see Embry

            "You didn't come to Em's today, why not?" Embry asks as he cocks his head to the side

            "Not feeling well" I say and he nods.

            "So I have a question to ask you."

            "Shoot" I say and Embry gets down on both his knees. I scrunch my eyebrows together not sure what he is doing at this moment. He pulls out a gorgeous ring

            "Frankie, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks and I just sit on my bed still processing what Embry just asked.

            "Yes!" I say and nod my head as he slips the ring on my middle finger

            "It's beautiful" I say as I lay down on my bed and Embry follows suit

            "Like you"

            "So cheesy, but I like" I say and I feel his chest rumble from him chuckling. I lay on his chest just thinking about the letter I received today. I notice that the letter is on my desk in view from where Embry is at. I quickly grab it and tuck it under my pillow

            "What was that?" He implores

            "Nothing" I lie.

            "You sure?"

            "Mhm. Let's go to Emily's. Let me get changed first" I say as I kick him out of my room shutting the door and going through my closet

            "Ready?" I ask and he looks up nodding and getting up from the recliner. He walks out first and I walk out second so I can lock the door. In my front pocket I have my acceptance letter to show Leah.

-So photographer it is! Did you guys see her getting early acceptance though? Do you guys think she will take it, the scholarship? With full acceptance she also got a full ride scholarship for all her years there. What do you think she'll do?
