[35] One Last Time

(In poem form bc why not. Took me two years, innit? Hahaha labyu guys, happy new year!)

In white tiled floors, wheels roll
Constantly grumbling
Telling, reminding,
Are you sure you're ready to leave him?
Lined chairs greet you,
They await for your departure -
Your departure and your torture.
Bid your buddy the last goodbye.

He hugs you tight, never to let go
"Hey listen, Margo
I'm pretty sure you've heard this a lot, but,
I'm gonna miss you a lot."

She hands him this envelope, sealed with white remorse
"Open this when I'm gone."
The voice echoes off the walls,
"Goodbye my lieutenant."

"See you soon." He replies.

He watched the plane leave,
Arise from the land and heave
Through and against air, though not his despair
To get back his Margo dear.

In the car, leaving, he opens
The letter of a past, moments ago
The paper tears like his heart, "Hey bro,
I'll see you soon, a'right?"

You're flight's to follow. M.

And he couldn't smile wider.

FIN.
