So this is my New Year's' Resolution: I have to write in here at least once a week. Let's do this shit!!!
Be forewarned that I probably won't make it. I'll need subjects to rant about later in the year.
Since I already started the New Year's Resolution bit let's move on in that direction. I don't really see the point in making a New Year's Resolution (even though I just made one). I'm not saying it's pointless. It's good to set a goal for yourself.
But let's be realistic here. The one resolution most people make is to be fit, join a gym, exercise, lose weight. things like that. That's good and all, but just think about it.
Will you really do this?
Are you going to get up and DO stuff?
Are you willing to change your way of living to lose that 10 pounds?
Most people say "YES!! I WILL DO IT!!!" I say "I was going to... but I don't feel like it right now... Or ever..."
I mean really, what's the point? No one ever does and hardly anyone will remember it at the end of the year. AND if you were REALLY going to do it, don't you think you ought to set the bar a little higher? Maybe lose one pound a week instead of 10 pounds by the end of the year, because once you reach your 10 pound goal, you're going to go back to whatever it was that you were doing to begin with to make you want to lose those 10 pounds.
And the people who join a gym. People, are you really going to go? Are you going to pay a place you've never gone to before?
Do you even know what to half of the machines are used for except for the treadmill?
If you are only going there to use a treadmill, why don't you run outside and not pay a gym for you to run in?
These are questions that must be answered. Most resolutions don't last the first week. Little lone a month, or even an entire year.
1 week down 51.1 weeks to go...
