So I may or may not be writing a new story. Or trying to at least... I have NO title and NO plot and I'm just going with the flow so here's a part that I have written and tell me if you like it.
Jade's POV
I wanted to smack Jessica for being so mean to Ace. I may be not be the smartest one in our school, but at least I cared enough to pay attention to what people weren't saying. If that makes any since.
Ace is alone. I remember one time, in elementary school, when it was parents day, Ace never had anyone show up. She just sat there while people whispered about Ace not having good parents. I also remember what happened when she heard what everyone was saying.
Flashback - to elementary school
"Mommy, can Ace walk with us?"
"Who?"
"Ace." I pointed over in her general direction.
"Don't you think she would like to be with her own parents?"
"She doesn't have any."
"What do you mean?"
"They never come." We start walking over to where she sat.
When we get there. Daddy crouched down next to her and said in a really nice voice. "Where are your parents, darling?"
"They ain't comin'." Ace monotoned.
"Are they working?" Ace shook her head no.
"Are they away?" Again Ace shook her head no.
"Do you know what they are doing?" Ace, once again, shook her head no.
Momma chimed in, "They must be dead beats." That claimed a response form Ace. But it wasn't very nice.
"MOMMA WAS A GOOD PERSON!!! SHE WORK HARD AND MAKED A LIVIN' FOR HER AND ME!!! SHE TAKED CARE OF ME!!! DON'T YOU TALK BAD ABOUT MY MOMMA!!!" Ace picked up the science project that the class was almost done with. And threw it at mommy. The little seedling that had just sprouted landed on the floor in front of her. Ace didn't like the fact that it didn't hit her, so she walked over to were it was on the floor, unafraid of getting yelled at by mommy, picked up the plant again and threw it, hitting mommy this this time. Ace huffed, pleased with herself, and said in a monotone voice once again, "Don't talk 'bout sumthang you don' know 'bout. You have no rights" She then turned around and walked away.
End of Flashback
Lightning flashed outside the window pulling me from my mind and a thought suddenly occurred to me. What did Ace mean 'was'? And what about her father?
