I started school on August 9th and I already have 2 essays and a research project due. But, because I like you little shits, I decided to update.
In English, we have to write about what we think beauty is and since I have a lot to say about this subject. Here is, what I believe to be, my first actual (unscripted... sort of...) rant in this story.
(- - ; )
So, everyone sees beauty differently than everyone else. Just like people see colors differently. Someone may see a tree and it would be a normal brown with green leaves but to someone else the tree could be grey with pink leaves (that will probably make no sense to you but go with it). But that's what we were taught. Green is green, red is red, and so on and so forth. But then there are times when green, red or some other color is actually something entirely different. It's just the way you see it.
To me, beauty is in the personality. Someone can look absolutely stunning and have a really shitty personality. While others can look like a piece of shit and have an amazing personality. And even then, to most people, it doesn't matter what you act like or who you are. If you do not look a certain way, you aren't worth their time. Like Sherlock and facts about Space. He doesn't care about Space, so he ignores it.
It's sad, you can miss out on so much because people can be so judgmental. One look and you are automatically a geek, outcast, Barbie, jock, nerd... The list goes on. And you are expected to act a certain way because of it.
On the first day of school, I met a person and I thought she was going to be another overachieving cheerleader. But I said hi anyway, because I didn't have any of my other friends in that class and I refused to be the one weirdo who does not talk to anyone other than the teacher (if that). And she was not what I expected. She likes the same things I do and there is never an dull or awkward moment in our conversations. We get each other's jokes and references to shows and songs we both like.
So green can be orange, red can be white, and pink can be blue (Get it?). And there are times when a grape is actually a banana. It's what you see it. Deal with it.

Yes, I am talking about you soul-stealer.
