#174- They Comfort You After Your Boyfriend Cheats
Ashton: "Shh, you're going to make yourself sick if you keep crying like this." You recently found out that your boyfriend had cheated, and when you told Ashton, you just started crying again. Holding you tightly, he combed his fingers through your hair and sighed. "He's a complete idiot for cheating you on, you can at least take some comfort in that." But after three years of dating, that was hardly comforting. He rested his cheek on the top of your head when you finally started to calm down. "You wanna eat Ben & Jerry's?" "Mhmm.." You mumble to him. "You wanna watch a stupid movie?" "Mhm.." "Okay, I'll get it." Wiping your tears, he returns with the pint of ice cream from your fridge and one of the silliest movies from your collection. You two spend the rest of the day watching low-budget movies and eating ice cream, falling asleep on him once you're full and dry eyed.
Luke: "This has to stop." "What?" "The way you're acting like nothings wrong. You're bottling things up." You shrugged your shoulders, shutting the door as Luke entered your house. "I don't know what you're talking about." He groans. "Stop acting like I didn't see your face when you saw your ex with his new girlfriend." Your heart skips a beat for a moment. "You've hardly reacted over this break up, and I know how much you cared about him." He steps forward, touching your shoulder. "It's okay." And that's really all you needed to start crying; the pent up emotions you've held in for the past month coming out while you sink into the couch with him, pulling you into his lap and rocking you slightly. He doesn't have to say anything, but it's comforting knowing you have someone to listen to everything.
Michael: "Still in bed?" Michael asks, knocking on your bedroom door. "Leave me alone to die." You answer back, none to overdramatic. "Y/N, I know you're upset, but playing Mayday Parade and laying in bed isn't going to make you feel better." You throw a pillow at him blindly and dropping your face back down into the sheets. You found out your boyfriend had been cheating on you for five months, and you felt pretty horrible. He stops the music sprawls out on the bed next to you, poking your ribs. "Come on, let me see your smileee." You give a forced smile, and he's obviously not happy. "I want a real one. Remember that time I got suspended for throwing a shoe at the bus driver?" This time, you can't help but smile and he keeps telling you the ridiculous stories from your childhood, taking your mind off your cheating ex and making you laugh for the first time since you found out.
Calum: He was the first person you told when you caught your fiance cheating, and just ten minutes after you hung up, he was there in your house and was handing you tissues while you cried and ranted about what a dick he had been to you in the past month. It was hard. You wanted to start a life with him, but that obviously wasn't happening. "Calum, thank you. I appreciate this, but you don't have to stay here.." He shook his head. "You're crazy if you think I'm leaving you alone when you're like this. I'm staying the night, you need someone here." You assured him you would be fine, or could get one of your girlfriends to come over but he adamantly insisted he stay. He made you dinner that night, put in your favorite TV series and sat on the bed with you, your head resting on his chest. "I'm glad I have someone like you." Looking up in time to see him flash one of his patented smiles, he adds. "Anytime, anything for you."
