Today is your first day at Norwest Christian College in Sydney, Australia. Much to your disappointment your mum and dad decided to move from London, England to pursue better careers, you however, didn't want to go. It meant leaving all of your friends behind in England, and other than your Australian friend - who lives in Perth, so far away from Sydney - you know no-one.

You are currently just laying in bed, staring at the ceiling, because you are secretly hoping your mum hasn't remembered you have to start a new school today. But alas, there's a knock on the door and you see your mum's head pop around the corner, to let you know that you really need to get up.

Considering you washed your hair last night, you slowly make your way to the cupboard and pull out your new uniform, it isn't too bad. You have to wear a light blue shirt, black skirt, black shoes and a navy blue-ish blazer - but that's optional. Considering it's hot outside you wear the blazer but roll the sleeves up to make it 3/4 length. You tuck your shirt in to the skirt and check your outfit in the mirror. You actually look okay in this new uniform.

You then make your way to the bathroom to start taming your crazy hair and face. You put your hair up in a messy pony tail, scrunching it up a bit and letting to strands fall out either side of your face, to caress your cheeks.

You then begin your make-up. You've never been one of those girls who cakes on the make-up because you believe in being natural, but you do wear a bit, just to make you feel more comfortable with your appearance. You apply concealer to cover a newly formed blemish on your cheek, then light foundation, you then add powder to lighten the orange tone of your foundation. You then apply mascara to both sets of eye lashes, doubling up the coat to make them noticeable. But not the noticeable where it looks like you have dead spiders stuck to the top of your eye lid. You then apply a few strokes of liquid eye-liner to the top of your eye lid, applying your signature flick.

You head downstairs, smiling slightly because you are looking forward to the prospect of making new friends. You go in to the kitchen and make some toast and slowly smother it in nutella - oh that chocolate goodness! You finish your toast, brush your teeth, and then slowly make your way to the bus stop, plugging your iPod in as you walk.

When you get there you are greeted by a boy with dark hair. He instantly recognises you as a 'newbie' and comes over to say hi. You kind of just stare at him walking over to you, and he smiles and holds out his hand, forcing you to take your headphones out.

"Hi, I'm Calum, Calum Hood, but everyone calls me Cal", you can't help but smile because his accent is so cute as he has a slight lisp. "Hi, I'm Y/N", he beams at you and says "you're English, that is SO cool". You smile and laugh and say sarcastically "yeah, we English are pretty awesome", he smiles and says "hey, wanna hang with me and my friends today, so you aren't alone?" You grin and nod and say "yes, I'd love to, but, that means you have to show me around school..think you can handle it Hood", he blinks at you before pulling a 'macho' pose and saying "challenge accepted", you both start to laugh uncontrollably together until your bus turns up, and when you get on, you see Calum talk to some boys at the back, you sigh and go to take a seat near the front, but Calum stops you by saying "hey Y/N, come here", you smile and go and sit next to him. He introduces you to the two boys - now known as Luke and Michael - by putting his arm around your shoulder pulling you in to his side and saying "boys this is Y/N, my new friend", you blush slightly and relax in to him.

You could really get used to spending time with Calum Hood.
