Chapter Two

I awoke to see nothing but the colour black. I was wondering if I was really awake. I rubbed my eyes but I still couldn’t see anything but darkness, so I rubbed them again which made them sore. I was sat on a cold floor, so I reached around to see if I could find anything that would give me an idea of where I was. I could feel a wall to my right. I walked around the room, using the wall as a guide, and stumbling over things. I then felt a door, I reached for the handle and twisted it but it wouldn’t open. The door was locked. I hit the door with my hand several times and then started to throw myself at it but all this did was bruise my arm. I started to feel for a light switch, which I found to the right of the door. I switched it on and then turned around to find out where I was. It was a small room with concrete walls and wooden floor and no windows. There was a small plastic table in one of the corners and a broken chair lying on the floor next to it. I had no idea where I was, so I continued to bang on the door. I then started to hear mumbling on the other side, they must have heard me because the next thing I knew they opened the door and pushed me to the ground, while telling me to be quiet. I didn't look at their faces until they started arguing with each other and then I remembered what happened.

I sat there thinking to myself, thinking about why this might have happened, but I couldn't think of anything. I looked up at the two strangers, they were arguing and I wasn't really listening to what they were saying, instead I was just looking at them and taking it all in. One of the guys was tall with brown scruffy hair, he was wearing jeans and a hoodie. The other was shorter, had blonde hair and was wearing a lot of black. I continued to look at them when I realised them looking at me and speaking but I wasn't listening. The shorter one kicked my leg and shouted "Snap out of it!"

"Ow!" I complained, “That hurt!" Although they didn't care.

They looked at one another and started to laugh. "Did you hear her? That hurt, you better apologize!" The tall one said sarcastically.

I opened my mouth which was a bad idea. "There's no need to be sarcastic about it!" I said regretfully. I knew I should have just kept quiet when I saw the smiles had disappeared from their faces.

"Yeah! Just shut up!" The shorter one said as he walked towards me, grabbed my arm and dragged me to the other side of the room.

"W-What's going on? Why am I here?" I questioned.

"Oh, you'll find out. But not just yet. We have some things to sort out first." A slightly creepy but evil smile appeared on each of their faces and I was getting more and more worried about why I was here. They left the room locking the door behind them and continuing to argue with each other. I crawled over to the door pressing my ear up against it to see if they say anything about me.

"You’re such an idiot!" One of them said.

"What? How am I an idiot?" The other replied.

      "We're behind because of you!"

"Tell me! What did I do?"

"You hit her against the car door and it knocked her out."

      "And..."

"She's been 'out' for over a day. We're behind now." He shouted a little too loudly for my liking.

"I see, well I'm sorry for wanting to keep this place a secret." He shouted.

I slowly moved away from the door and sat against the wall with my legs pressed up against my chest. I wrapped my arms around my legs and rested my head on my knees and cried. I tried to forget about where I was, tried to get all of those happy thoughts and amazing memories back into my head. The first memory was of Harry, I'm not sure why though. Maybe it was because we spent a lot of time together, we were really close. I've known him for a couple of years, we met when I was about 13 years old when he got me out of detention. After that we started to hang out more and he soon became one of my close mates. The other thoughts that came to my head were of my mum and the rest of my family, when we used to go out as a family and then it would turn out disastrous, but somehow funny. After a while I moved to the corner of the room and lay all curled up and fell asleep.
