I was walking home from school the same day. I spotted Louis where he would usually be. I jogged over to him.

“Hello.” I smiled.

“Hey.” Louis welcomed me to a warm embrace. “How are you?”

“I’m great, you?”

“I’m fantastic, thanks.” Louis responded.

Before I continued the conversation, I quickly texted my mother saying how I was stopping at the café for a cookie and coffee, even though I wasn’t. She believed me, so I went along with it.

I sat down next to Louis on the bench he was at.

“As much as I love being with you, aren’t you supposed to be heading home?” He asked.

“I told my mom I was stopping for coffee and stuff, so she knows I’ll be out for a little bit.” I said.

Louis complimented, “Clever thinking once again.”

I smirked at his statement. There was a silence between us while Louis had his arm around my shoulder, pulling me in closer.

“Are you my boyfriend?” I asked, immediately regretting it because of how stupid it sounded.

I felt his eyes burning through the side of my head. I was afraid for his reaction, but I faced him anyways. I couldn’t quite read his glance.

“Do you want me to be?” Louis asked with a grin plastered across his face.

“Well…” I started.

“I’d love to be your official boyfriend if that’s what you’re asking.” Louis smiled.

I felt my face light up. “Good because I want to be your girlfriend.”

“You’re so silly.” Louis whispered before placing his lips on top of mine.

I positioned my hand on his cheek while my other hand went on the back of his neck. Louis put his arm around my waist. His touch made me shiver. I still wasn’t used to it. It was exhilarating.

Louis ended our kiss, but never moved his hands. I stared into his stunning blue eyes which were inches away from my face.

“We can’t go too crazy. We’re in public, you know.” Louis said.

I mumbled in a sweet voice, “Aw, you’re no fun.”

Louis raised an eyebrow. “Oh, I guess I’m not!”

He put his hands to himself and pried me off of him. He sat with his arms crossed like a little boy who didn’t get the toy he wanted.

“Lou…” I pouted.

I tried to pull his arms apart, but he was too strong. I attempted a softer approach by just running my fingertips across the exposed skin on his arms. I noticed goose bumps forming underneath my touch. I was surprised.

“I have that effect on you?” I asked.

Louis stared at me confused, “What?”

I pointed out the small bumps on his arms. “I give you goose bumps?”

“No…” Louis replied as if he didn’t mean it. “It’s a bit cold out here.”

“I bet.” I muttered. He didn’t hear, though.

I continued to run my fingers up and down his arms. He started to look at me as if he were examining me. I never made eye-contact.

I moved my hands up to his neck. More goose bumps formed. I found it fascinating how I could do that to someone. Louis still never said a word. I took my hands back.
