Today was the day. The day that I was looking forward to all year was finally here. I had no problem waking up at the crack of dawn for school because the adrenaline was taking over.
I quickly got myself fixed up and headed outside. Louis was sitting in his car parked right out front, waiting. His smile became brighter once we laid eyes on each other. I got in the car and greeted him with a kiss.
“Good morning!” I chirped.
“Hey! You’re in a good mood today.”
“Well why wouldn’t I be? The talent show is tonight! I’m so excited.” I exclaimed. “I am a bit nervous, but I’m sure everything will be great!”
Louis’s smile faded a little bit. “The talent show, with that dick-head from yesterday? You’re still doing it?” He asked.
“Yeah, I am. He just showed up at my house yesterday and said he was sorry and whatever. I didn’t believe him, but I knew he was right when he said I should still do the show.”
Louis shifted uncomfortably in his seat. “He came here last night?”
I should’ve called him prior to this conversation. I knew I should’ve told Louis about this before this happened. “He did, but I didn’t invite him. He just showed up and wanted to talk to me. I thought I might as well listen.”
“He didn’t try anything did he?” Louis looked at me straight in the eyes.
“Of course not! I wouldn’t let him either.” I defended. “Are you okay?” The air in the car changed.
“I just don’t like him, I don’t like that he was here, and I don’t like you doing the show with him to be quite honest.”
“I’m only doing the show really because he said he’d apologize to you for all the shit he said.” I started to realize that maybe Jack didn’t say anything to Louis at all. Maybe he just lied to me to get me to do the show.
“Well, he didn’t talk to me about anything. Hell, I haven’t seen him since he walked away from me yesterday afternoon.” He explained.
“That little piece of shit.” I muttered. I can’t believe he’d lie like that. Well, I don’t know what to believe anymore. I didn’t know how rude Jack could be, so there are a lot of things I don’t know about him. I guess lying is one of them. “I have to talk to him about this now.” I complained.
Part of me realized that maybe Jack didn’t come across Louis yet to apologize, but after everything that’s happened; I didn’t trust him all that much. Just a few words out of his mouth changed all my views of him. I guess that says something about people. All it takes are a few words to change everything.
“Yeah.” Louis said under his breath. He still seemed upset, but of course I didn’t blame him. I tried to change the subject.
“So, how was your night last night? Did you doing anything crazy?”
A smile slowly spread on his face and the tension lifted. “Yeah actually, I did something crazy. I cleaned. I cleaned my house because I had no idea what to do with myself.”
His place was always a mess. I was impressed and faked a gasp. “Say it isn’t so! Louis Tomlinson cleaned?”
“I know, I know.”
“I should call E News with this story.”
“No you can’t! It’s important to respect me and my family during this tough time of a clean environment.” He joked.
“You never talk about your family.” I said. “Do you miss them? They’re so far away.” I didn’t know what brought up the curiosity of his family. I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about it once it started. I wanted to know all about him and where he came from.
