I walked through the front door of my house slightly past my curfew. My parents were sitting on the couch. They looked stressed.

“I’m home.” I said, cheerfully trying to make the room happier.

“Where have you been?” My dad asked.

“We’ve been worried about you!” My mom exclaimed. “I thought you were going to call us as soon as your confrontation with those girls was over.”

I knew I forgot to do something.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I ran into a friend and we hung out.” I said. I didn’t wish to go into further details.

“Who?” My mom asked.

I didn’t feel right lying to my parents. “Louis.” I mumbled under my breath.

“What was that?” My dad asked.

“Louis! I was with Louis.” I admitted.

“Louis? You mean that boy with the tattoos?” My dad was asking for clarification, but there was a sound of disapproval in his voice.

I nodded.

“What were you guys doing? Where?” My dad asked. He was becoming the overprotective father he was.

I noticed my mother was slightly laughing to herself, most likely because of my dad’s ridiculous questioning.

“We were just around town, okay? Now do you want to hear about what happened with the girls?” I said.

Both of my parents nodded.

After I explained every detail of the argument, I ended with “…so I quit.”

My parents looked exhausted from the story, but quite pleased. “I think you made a very wise decision and I’m proud of you.” My mom said.

“Yeah, it was bold of you to quit, and you don’t want to be around those terrible girls anymore.” My dad smiled.

I agreed. I was glad that we didn’t talk about how rude the conversation got. I didn’t feel like dealing with all that anymore. All I know was that the worst was over. That’s the bright side.

Finally, my parents went upstairs to their room and went to sleep for the night. I scurried off into my own room, but I wasn’t tired enough for sleep.

I changed into my pajamas and sat on my bed with my laptop. I mainly went on Youtube and listened to music from my headphones. I occasionally went on to Tumblr and on Twitter. Social media just didn’t really excite me anymore. If anything, I tried to avoid it at all costs.

I felt my phone vibrate on my bed. I picked it up and saw that I got a text message from one of Louis’s friends that I had met, Harry.

So you slammed a door into his face? Shame on you!!

I’m going to guess Louis told him…I typed up my reply.

It was COMPLETELY an accident! I didn’t mean to

A few seconds later, my phone vibrated again.

Calm down, I know. I’m just messing with you haha x

I was quite relieved he wasn’t actually angry.

Ohhh. I didn’t know that haha

A minute or so later, I got a reply.

Great job. So how are you? I haven’t spoken to you since Louis introduced us

That was true. I haven’t spoken to Niall or Ashlyn either, but I had their numbers. I’d have to say ‘hello’ in the future. They were all so nice and funny.
