It was finally Friday. I absolutely loved Fridays because it’s the last day of the school week and I don’t have to wake up early the next day.
I quickly got dressed, ate my breakfast, and headed off to school. It was slightly raining and I was getting wet. Within a few seconds of walking, a car slowly pulled up beside me. I knew better than to take a ride from a stranger.
The window was rolled down. “Hello.” A familiar accent said. I stopped and looked into the car. Louis was smiling at me. “Would you like a ride to school?” He asked me.
“Yes.” I said. I opened the car door and hopped in. “Hello.” I cheerfully said.
“Oh, you’re in a good mood this morning.” Louis said while continuing to drive.
I laughed. “Yeah, I am.”
The car ride was mostly quiet. Neither of us brought up the kiss that almost happened between us. My dad had the ruin that moment. We’d probably have another moment like that soon, when it’s legal. I know I was turning 18 very soon, but it was still illegal for him to date a minor or anything like that. Louis could get in some serious trouble for doing that, and I could too. It’s not like anyone had to know about it, though…
Louis arrived at my school and pulled up to the entrance. “Alright, have a great day at school.” He said to me.
“Ha! I’ll try.” I smiled.
“See you when you get out?” Louis asked.
“Of course.” I said.
He grinned while I opened the car door. I hopped out of the car.
“Thanks for the ride.” I said through the window.
Louis winked at me and started to drive off. My heart was beating fast. Damn, he drove me insane. I walked into school with the best mood.
I unlocked my locker and hundreds of pieces of paper spilled out. I almost fell to the floor. They were small notes and the people around me in the hallway were staring at me intently. They were almost snickering at me.
I picked up each piece of paper and started to read them.
Deleting your account doesn’t change anything!!
Wow…you’re more pathetic than I thought!
How could you say those things like that and just delete it!!! I was told you were nice! I guess those people were wrong.
I soon stopped. It was too much for me to handle. Everyone still thinks I wrote all those messages and no one would stop to see what I had to say.
I shoved all the notes into my bag and shut my locker. I started to walk to class, but it was a challenge with people in the hallways shouting things at me. Telling me I’m worthless. Saying how much of a bitch I am. They even physically threw paper at my face.
I ran off into the bathroom. I was hoping for some privacy, but there were girls occupying the restroom and the second I walked in, I got death stares. I immediately left there as soon as possible and sprinted for the other bathroom upstairs.
There were girls in this one, too. It wasn’t just random girls, though. It was Ashley, Mary, and Hailey. They gave me an uncomfortable stare. I started to leave the room, but before I stepped a foot out, I heard giggling behind me.
I finally built up the confidence and stormed fully back in.
“Say it to my face!” I shouted, tears forming in my eyes.
