Chapter 15 - Lights On
"Cut! That's a wrap for today people. You have the rest of the day free." Called Phil.
I started to wiggle out of my costume for the day when Logan put his hand on my shoulder. "Don't. I've asked Vanille already. You can keep the outfit. I've paid for it."
I looked down at my outfit. It was a white lace slash neck dress and creamy peach platform pumps by Fion Deluxe©."Why?" I smoothed the creases out. This was a designer outfit, costing over thousands. Why would he buy such an expensive dress for me?
"It's a surprise." He smirked and dragged me out to the car park. In the VIP parking space stood a Black Porsche Turbo. I was taken back by the extremely expensive car.
"Am I going to ride in that?" My voice brewing with excitement and nervousness. Logan's eyes twinkled and he nodded. I squealed. He opened the car and I stepped in. I sat in the plush black leather seats. The interior was black slashed with streaks of red. I gasped. I swear I'm going to faint. OMG. This is so cool!
Logan turned on the engine and a huge gush of wind entered through the open window and we were speeding down the road. I squealed again. The wind had whipped my hair over my head and unintentionally made messy curls in my straightened hair. A freak of nature. Fortunately, my makeup had not been smudged; my light brown smokey eyes and nude glossy lips. I tucked another couple of strands behind my ear.
"Where are we going Logan?" I asked.
"It's a surprise." He answered. "In the meantime." He turned on the HD radio. A flash of musical notes passed through the radio before "Lovesick" started playing through the radio. Yay! I love this song. Now that I think of it, this was Skandar's ringtone. I started singing with Emily and Logan started gazing at me. I cocked my eyebrows at him and continued singing over the whistling wind.
"You have a really good voice Georgie." He smiled a smile that made my heart melt. Eeee. He said my voice is good! Yay! "We're here."
I looked up and into his eyes. He got out and opened my door."Mademoiselle." He whispered in a French accent. I giggled. He hooked his arm through mine and walked me into a giant building with glass doors. "Excuse me, I need to change." He murmured in my ear, leaving me with goosebumps there pricking out. He let go of my arm and left me in the lobby. I say down on one of the plush sofas, a blue one. I tapped my fingers on the arm of the chair for five minutes before a tall figure appeared from the boys toilets.
"Tyler? What are you doing here?" I gasped.
"Er. I- er." He stuttered before running off, his jacket flapping. He met up outside with a girl outside. I couldn't quite see who it was.
A handsome figure came towards me wearing a sleek black tuxedo. "Hey Georgie, lets go in." Smiled Logan, his arm taking its place on mine again. He led me to a golden elevator. I never really liked the feeling of being in it. Like, when it goes up it feels like you're floating. It's kinda cool though. However, this elevator didn't make me feel like that. I felt my feet or rather my heels stay put. The elevator dinged and opened the door to heaven. Or an interpretation of one.
The golden doors opened into a exquisite dining room surrounded by glass windows showing the night time view of the city. Wow, I never knew we had driven so long it was 5:30 already. How did I know? Well, the sky darkens around that time. The view was explicit. Logan led me over to the centre of the room and to a prepared table. The table was covered with a bright gold tablecloth covered with shiny glassware and hand folded origami paper. He pulled out the black leather chair for me and I slid down.
"Wow Logan. But what are we doing here?" I asked as he sat down.
"I hope you don't mind going on a date with me, we're eating dinner here."
I gasped. A date?! With Logan Lerman? OMG. I looked around. "Where is everybody?"
"I bought the whole dining room so no one's going to disturb us. So, what do you want to order?"
"Hmm. I'll have a crispy skin salmon." I answered.
"I'll have the same." He told the waitress. After three minutes;yes I mean LITERALLY three minutes, up to the seconds, the dishes were put on our table. I devoured it in a couple of bites. Logan smirked and poured something into my glass and handed me it. A bubbling fizzy drink showered my mouth. Lemonade.
"How did you-" I was interrupted by a waitress putting down a plate of dark chocolate, white chocolate and raspberries cheesecake. "How did you know that I liked lemonade and double choc and raspberry cheesecake?"
He just smiled. "Watch the skies." He tucked my chin to the right and my eyes gazed out the glass windows. A explosion of light filled the sunset night sky. Reds, pinks and whites showered the sky before finally settling into the shape of a G.
I gasped for the millionth time. "Did you do this?"
"G. Georgie." He smiled.
***
"Goodnight Georgie." Logan gave me a kiss on the cheek. OMG. Logan Lerman. KISSED ME.
"Night." I smiled before he walked down to the car and drove off. I turned the handle of my door.
"Georgie. Wait." I turned around, expecting to see Logan but saw...Skandar! I know it's stupid, I mean Logan already drove off. How do you expect him to be by you again?
"What are you doing at my house?" I asked curiously.
"Why were you still up at 10?" He shot back.
"When did you become my dad?" I argued.
"Enough. I was just checking to see if you were okay?" He turned around and walked off. My heart shattered.
