Chapter 32 - The Blues
The cool sunset breeze swiped through the air and onto my skin, leaving chills and goosebumps. I relaxed into my chair as Samantha Jade sang the notes to Soldier. Logan and Skandar, both knowing that I love SJ, invited her to come and sing for me as a birthday present. I love my two boys. I mean. Not in that way towards Logan. That would just be awkward. For Skandar. Yeah. I don't know.
I sipped on my grape ice tea with green apple jelly. Things were finally coming around; Ryan and Stephy were arrested, Skandar's back to normal, Logan's found his better half (yes, you heard right. Logan Lerman officially loves someone else. Someone by the name of Alexandria.) and I've inherited everything left by my parents. Life is gooooood. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"My lady." Whispered a voice. I opened my eyes.
"Skandar." I breathed.
"May I have this dance?" He chuckled and bowed down, holding his hand out.
"Of course." I giggled, taking his hand.
Suddenly, the song changed to "A thousand years" by Christina Perri.
"Was this your doing?" I sighed, swaying to the beat against Skandar.
"Am I romantic or what." He teased and held me closer, as if I was going to slip away from him.
"Yeah yeah." I whispered into his shoulder half-heartedly.
Skandar, literally, swept me off of my feet. He lifted me up and swung me around gently. I laughed and the people around cheered. Even Logan.
"I have died everyday, waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more." Skandar sang softly in my ear and a chill scraped down my back. I shuddered.
"Tonight will be the night you will remember for the rest of your life." He murmured hopefully. "Time has brought your heart to me." He sang.
"It will." I replied and sank back into the world of love and hope and all things good.
The song changed again and Samantha Jade sang to her own original, Firestarter. Everyone started bopping to the dance beat.
"Put your hands in the air!" Cheered Samantha.
"Woo!" Cried Tyler. Everyone laughed. The lights flashed blue, red and green, colouring everyones' skin in a different colour.
"You look like an alien." I teased.
"You look like pink panther." Skandar teased back.
I pouted. "Not fair."
"You look cute like that." He cooed and twirled me around. I resisted. "Aw. You're not fun." He pouted.
"You look cute like that." I cooed and laughed.
"Cheeky, are you?" He smiled slyly.
"Oh no." I broke out and backed away. "No no no."
"I'll give you five seconds. To run." He smirked.
I squealed and ran with all my might.
"5, 4, 3, 2, 1." He laughed cheekily.
He lifted me up in the air, fingers running up and down my waist. Tickling me.
"Seco- second time! Stooop!" I whined.
He laughed and put me down. "Are you happy?"
"Yes." I chuckled.
He wrapped his arms around my waist. "I love you." And he kissed me with a sudden desperation.
"I love you too." I murmured and the kiss engulfed me. The full moon shone against our faces, illuminating us. And for the first time, I knew that I belonged here, with him.

The book's overrrrrrrr. ;((((( ;(((((((.
BUUUUT! The book may be over, but the story is far from over! I promise a sequel, because it ain't over yet. It's called Revived. However, I will be taking a break from teen fiction and writing a fantasy book called Blue Eyes, starring Logan Lerman and Alexis Bledel.
Lots of love. Tell me, what was your favourite part of Crushed?
Until next time!
