Part 10: Truth

Alex's POV
I had to spend the night in the 11th room with Kestrel because- well, you know why. Anyways, when I got into the room, Kestrel was flipping through her suitcase. I set mine next to the closet and took out some blankets and threw one to Kestrel and said "You wanna take the bed?" Because there was only one bed, one had to sleep on the floor and one sleep on the bed. At least, that's what I thought. "We don't have to..." I heard her whisper. I looked at her, is she being serious?! "What do you mean, we don't have to?" I smirked. I know where this is going. "You know..." She went into the bathroom and changed into her nightgown. She lay down and said" Well, are you taking the offer or not?" I shrugged and lied down next to her and gently stroke her cheek and said"Night" and I closed my eyes. To my surprise,instead of flipping the other way but she actually turned to me and hugged me!😱😱😱 she whispered" I love you so much..." I smiled" I love you too."

Most of them think I cant talk, but I can. I just dislike it because i always spew out flames. Only Petal can understand me because we been together for 8871 years and she get use to it. I sleep in a star formation and so does petal. When we woke up today, we were surprised to hear someone knocking on the door. I flew over to go open the dorm but Taka's master stopped me and said" Allow me. It might be the Halcyon guards." And walked over and saw men dressed in white and red armor and yelled "Open up!" "It's them! Go alert the others. I nodded and flew to me and Petal's room and warned her. Together, we went to alert everyone (Alex was awkward considering I found Kestrel them hugging on the bed) and we got our equipments ready. We heard the master say " As I have said before, you may not enter this dojo as you don't have the requirements!" We gasped as the guard took out a taser and shocked the master. "Alex what do we do?" Joule asked patiently. "We can't all fit under my teleportation cloak... We have to fight our way through..." Alex bit his lip. "Ok, here's the plan. Skye. You and Joule have robots so it's harder for you to sneak around. So when they step in this arena, you two will bring up the power. " those two robot nerds nodded. " Taka, Kestrel, you can turn invisible so we need you to scout. Kestrel, shoot an arrow at that plank when you see them coming in. "They nodded and ran to the entrance. "Protectors, because our respawning systems are now all down, we can't revive. So use all your powers to protect anyone in danger. "Most nodded. "Snipers,mages, get to a good view where you can stay clear and fight." Some ran to the tower where they can get a good view. "Assassins and warriors... We will have to create distractions. We are not fit for this arena." We all nodded and I went with the others to the tower.
Vox's POV
I stared outside the window. Yesterday we were fighting for halcyon fold, today we were against them. I sighed. My sis looked at me uncomfortably and said" don't worry... We will be alright..." But she sounds like she don't believe it. I took a sneak peek and saw hundreds of soldiers coming up the hill. Some started to walk in. There I saw a man dressed in white with a baton and saw him walked into the arena. "Just a bit closer... " I said through gritted teeth, and...

Celeste throw out some stars and I shot sound waves at soldiers while I saw Skaarf and Ringo on the other side spewing out fireballs and bullets. Kestrel shot out arrows and Taka bursting targets with x. The soldiers couldn't do anything and some even fled. Skye shot missiles and they started raining down like rain while Joule's robot shot out beams. Alex started throwing out spells out of his wand and SAW shooting like a maniac. While assassins and melee stayed at the arena, killing every single soldiers. All was going well until Ringo yelled "snipers!!!" We ducked and hundreds of bullets just flew by me. I threw a sound grenade and stunned them. Kestrel using her energy arrow and headshot the snipers. "Retreat!!!" They yelled. Many ran away as Catherine slammed the ground. We suddenly heard a gun fire and someone yelled...
Alex's POV
We suddenly heard a gun fire and someone yelled in pain. We turned around and saw Catherine with a bullet hole straight in her chest. Kestrel screamed. Ringo jumped and landed and rushed towards Catherine. I rushed towards her and yelled "GET GIO!" And he flew quickly towards us. Ringo set her by his knee and said "You will be alright..." Gio started healing her but she shook her head. "Don't do this..." I whispered with Kestrel beside me. "Listen to me..." She said weakly. "You have your father's hair but you are like your mother... Take care of Kestrel..."And she closed her eyes slowly and her heart beat faded away. "NO!" Ringo yelled. Gio couldn't do anything and just whispered "she's gone..." And Kestrel sobbing beside me,and for the first time, a silver tear ran down my cheek...
"We have to get out of here. We are in no position of fighting right now." I managed to make out these words. Others nodded while Ringo is silent beside Cath. "What about her...?" I asked quietly. "We have to leave her here..." Taka whispered, walking towards Ringo and whispered" come on... We can't take her with us. We can ask my master once he wakes up to give her an official good bye..." I can see that Ringo don't want to but he had to. We grabbed our belongings and quickly left, but Ringo took her stuff with him and stared at Cath's motionless body. "Come on..." I said. He looked away and he couldn't even say a single word. "Where do we go now?" Petal said through tears. "We can go back to my house..." I suggested. "Hey! You never told me you have one!" Koshka meowed. "Not top security but it's a place..." I whispered. Sean suddenly said "Wait! We can go to your parents old hideout!" We all looked at him. My parents had a hideout?! We haven't any better ideas, so we set out for my parents old hideout and with painful memories that brought truth...
This was so hard to type cuz it is so sad :( I already miss Cath cause she was soooooo good... It was also hard because my screen was filled with tiny tear drops.. 😭😭😭 Anyways I hope you guys are looking forward towards the new chapters and follow me so you get notified when I update them!
