Catherine's POV
As always, the class is really boring. I twirled my pencil in boredom as the teacher blabs away about how to the battle of the halcyon fold originally started.
"The battle was a competition in their sight, but they were working on a plan of technological terror..." The teacher said as he wrote stuff on the board.
"Miss Evozar. Are you paying attention? What did I say about the battle of storm guard palace?" The teacher pointed at me. Breaking me out of my thoughts.
"You said how it was the turning point of the war... I know this stuff... My dad told me..." I groaned. History is one of the subjects a lot of people loved. I am only good at it because dad told me like everything.
"Dong~" the bell sounded. I grabbed my books and shoved it in my bag and left. We have Physical Education next, one of my favorite subjects. Yes... High school is very hard. I settled down in the classroom before our gym instructor came in.
"Morning everyone... Today is the defense again technology threats. I have asked all of you to bring your defense weapons today, am I correct?"
"Yes." We all said in unisons. He led us to the training grounds while I hold the gun that dad gave me when I was a kid. Apparently Roy's dad gave him. It is a unusual gun, though. Dad said it fires out psyche. It summons your inner self, the hidden self, they say. It is a spirit that contains inside your heart. It is very advance magic, though. Still haven't done it.
"alright. Now please take out your weapon and damage this dummy as much as possible."
Roy went up first, chucking a huge feather in a star formation at the dummy, slicing it in two pieces.
Then some other NIC went... (Non important characters)
I stepped in front of the dummy. But instead of the gun, I took out my dagger.
"Ability, please. Miss Evozar."
"A... Ability?" I asked awkwardly.
"Yes."
I took out my gun and pointed it at my head. I tried to pull the trigger but it was hard as rock.
...
...
...
"Alright then... Miss Evozar... Please step away..." I walk shamefully down the line, not looking at anybody.
"You okay?" Roy asked. I nodded.
As the teacher continues talking, I felt a nudge. Some random guy is trying to get my attention.
"What?" I asked, annoyed.
"Why didn't you use your ability? You can't use it?"
"Shut up." I murmured.
"Or maybe you are weak..." Oh that's it. He's really gonna get it.
"I'm not weak!" I said in a loud voice. Everyone turned and looked at us.
"Whoa... Chill... I am trying to make a suggestion!" Suggestion my ass. He's gonna pay.
I grabbed my gun and pointed at my head. This time, the trigger is light as a feather. I instantly pulled it and a creature with a flower at her head and a robe.
"I am Athena. I have come forth and serve my master." I pointed at that boy and Athena raise her trident. She was about to stab him but Roy pulled my arm.
"Cath! Control yourself!" He gasped. Then everything went black and cold...
Third person
As Athena came forth to serve her master, Catherine Evozar, she has fainted due to the lack of psyche. While she is being sent to the hospital wing, rumor started flying around the school. By the human's "lunch time" they were discussing about Catherine's use of advance magic. Even her brother, Nathaniel got this information. He was surprised that his sister can possess such Personality, as himself is a paladin. Able to protect others while being offensive along with magical powers...
Nathaniel's POV
Yes. Rumors do fly around very quickly if you are in a high school. I can hear girls gossiping in the hallway, saying:
"Oh my god, have you hear the rumors? They say Catherine Evozar summoned her inner self and almost killed a guy!"
"Yeah! Yeah! They say it's an goddess but I seriously doubt someone that Royal will get into the heart of someone like that!"
I could not stand it anymore. I stood up and left the lunchroom. Just then, Marie flew towards me and said:
"Hey Nath!"
"Oh, hey Marie!" I smiled.
"Where's Sean? He promised me to show me his legendary card he got in a booster pack online.
"He can't, his phone's dead." I replied.
"Oh..." Marie sighed, obviously disappointed.
"Well, I need to make a quick run to the library."
"Bye!" She smiled.
>time skip<
I walked down the aisle as I tried to decide what to borrow. I eventually decided to get: "The heart of nature." And I left for the counter to check it out. On the way there, I bumped into Mita.
"Oh hey Nathaniel..." She blushes.
"Hey Mita. You okay?" I asked. She look tired.
"Huh? Oh. Yeah. Yeah I am." She looked away.
"See you later. I need to check this out." I said, pointing at my book. She nodded and quickly left. Yeah, whatever. I know what's up because Catherine constantly remind me of Mita having a crush on me. Even her dad, Mr. Adagio, told me to be careful because he knows what it feels like to be a girl's magnet. Every Valentine's Day I get a massive amount of cards, chocolate, and flowers. And unfortunately, it is tomorrow. I always borrow my dad's cloak to get to class without getting too much attention. I learned my lesson 3 years ago on Christmas, where 5 girls were waiting for me under the mistletoe. Sounds like dad, huh.
Sean's POV
Talk about boring. It is already hard enough to learn the basics of chemistry. But man, I wonder how I will survive in my senior year. I sighed as the teacher blabs away about useless atoms.
"Hey back there! You paying attention?" We nodded as I sneakily took out my DS. I flipped it on as the teacher turns around to continue writing. I started playing Super Smash Bros as the teacher snuck up on me and said:
"Um... Mr Evozar?" I jumped.
"Yeah?"
"Detention."
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" I yelled inside my brain. But I just nodded. He left and continue writing. I can see Marie giggling on the other side and I shot her a deadly look.
"Dong~" class has ended for today. It was Friday. When the teacher wasn't looking. I ran out of the class and all the way outside the gate of the school. I skipped detention. Real smooth Sean. I started walking home as I heard someone call my name:
"Sean!"
I turned around to see Emily. She is an eighth grader and she is about to graduate this year. She is my stupid sister.
"Oh hey."
"That's it? Oh hey?"
"What else?" I snapped.
"Humph!" Sheesh. Average teenage girls. Always on their phone and stuff. Just then, Nathaniel and Catherine walked out.
"Hey you two."
I couldn't wait. So I ran up to Cath and said:
"Sis, is what everybody saying true?"
"Yes! Why does everyone asking me?" She snapped.
"Hey... Calm down. Cmon. Let's go home. We chatted along the way as we took the train home... Suddenly, the train stopped and everything turned gray except us. A mysterious voice suddenly said:
"Time will never wait for anything... It delivers all to the same truth... Anything between time and matter is worthy of the gods of the Dragons..."
