Chapter Sixteen

Jake's POV

I was holding Lisa in my arms when Mindy suddenly snapped her fingers and she was gone. She had disappeared, and with her, my mate too. How did she do that? How did she manage to disappear my mate??? I was beginning to rage with anger! I wanted to kill Mindy for taking my mate away from me once again. I could feel my muscles beginning to crack as my body was starting to shift. My wolf was taking over and I knew this wasn't going to be good. My wolf could do some pretty stupid stuff when angered.

As I finished shifting I felt my anger begin to rise even more. My wolf was taking full control and demanded to have it's mate. OUR mate. I began running full speed trying to trace my mate's scent but there was no luck. Mindy must've used a spell to cover their scents. My wolf just grew angrier and angrier at the thought of not finding my mate! I WILL find her! And I will kill Mindy for taking her away from me! My wolf just wanted to rip her throat out and I wasn't going to stop him if we found her. I kept running and before I knew it, I was in the woods. I had gotten out of Mindy's castle and through the secured gates. Now all I needed to do was find my mate.

Lisa's POV

With the snap of her fingers, my witch of a grandmother had transported us to a different place. It was a small cabin in the middle of the woods. The cabin smelled familiar-well not the cabin exactly but something in the cabin. I began to sniff the air which was a bit weird but came to me as instinct. Then suddenly it hit me. I could smell my mom and dad! They were in here! I don't know how I did that but it was awesome!

"Your wolf senses are settling in." My evil grandmother said. She probably read my mind again. It really sucks that someone can get in your head!

"So where are my parents?"

"I thought you knew."

"I know they're in here, I just don't know where you're hiding them!" I shot back annoyed.

"Well, you're about to find out very soon sweety." I growled at that. Wait a minute-I GROWLED! I literally made an animal noise! Wow, I just keep surprising myself more every minute. First I get a very heightened sense of smell and now I growl like an animal! "Gee, for being the most powerful person alive you sure are stupid." Mindy said with an irritated voice.

"How am I stupid?" I half shouted and half growled at her.

"Well, for starters honey, you don't know a thing about what you're turning into. You have no clue of what powers you possess, and you don't even know how to properly use the one you've just discovered."

What did she mean by the powers that I possess? I know that I'm suppose to acquire powers once I turn sixteen but I didn't know that I had any now. Everything just keeps getting more confusing. I just want to see my parents. I want them to explain everything to me. I NEED them to explain everything to me.

Mindy's POV

"Gee, for being the most powerful person alive you sure are stupid." I said to my granddaughter. I was trying to hide how nervous I was. The thought of her finding out her powers makes me so nervous. I can't let her find out about her powers. She will use them against them, and that's something that I don't want to happen.

"How am I stupid?" She half growled at me. Poor thing. She doesn't even know what's happening to her. She probably doesn't even know what day it is. Her birthday is tomorrow and if she doesn't mate in time, then she will have to chose what she wants to become. She will not have her full powers and I will be able to keep mine! Now all I have to do is keep her mate away.

"Well, for starters honey, you don't know a thing about what you're turning into. You have no clue of what powers you possess, and you don't even know how to properly use the one you've just discovered." I said to her, and I regreted it right after the words left my mouth. I realized her thoughts had begun to run wild and that she was trying to find a meaning to my words. A meaning that I thought she wouldn't catch on to. Screw me and my big mouth! Now she was beginning to think about her powers! Damn! Smart Mindy, smart! Now she wants to see her parents so they can explain everything to her. Well you know what, I'm not going to allow that to happen. It will ruin my plans.
