Chapter Eleven

Lisa's POV

I opened my eyes to the sound of chattering. I could hear the voice of the guy who had taken me and a female voice. I couldn't recognize the female voice. I had never in my life heard it before. Who could she be? I wondered. It was dark and the only thing I could see were shadows. I already knew what one of my captors looked like, but I didn't know about the other.

I could tell by her voice that she wasn't very young. She had to be atleast 40 years old. I know that I'm not a genious, but that much I could figure out. My thoughts were disrupted by a sudden crashing noise. I began to feel pain on my legs and then realized that one of my captors had smashed a glass vase on my legs. It stung really bad, and I tried really hard to hide my pain, but it was useless. It hurt too much! I screamed out in agony.

"Now, you're going to suffer...you will suffer 'til the very last minute of your life." said the voice of my female captor. Why was she doing this? What did I ever do to her? I don't even know who she is!

"Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?" I asked, trying to hide my fear.

"I want you to die" she said coldy and then did an evil laugh.

"But why? What did I ever do to you?"

"You were born!" she yelled out and then quickly composed herself.

"What does that have to do with anything? Why do you hate me so much?"

"Because...YOU WERE BORN!!!" She yelled out again.

I let the words sink in and then it hit me. NO! It can't be! She can't be! If what my brain was telling me was right then....this woman is...none other than...

Mindy's POV (Lisa's Grandma)

I watched her expression as she realized who I am. Finally! I thought to myself. She kind of reminds me of me when I was a teenager. She's young and beautiful, but I won't let that stand in the middle of what I need to accomplish. I have to annihilate her. I will not allow the species to combine again. I lost some of my powers when I fell in love with Lisa's grandfather, and I will not let my powers be drained by mating. I don't want a mate! I don't need one!

"You...you're Mindy...?" I heard Lisa ask me, interrupting my thoughts. Rude much!

"Yes, I am." I answered proudly.

Then, there was silence. I could read her mind, and I knew that she didn't know what else to say. She was speechless and frightened. She was trying to think of something to say, but she was still in pain from the vase I had thrown at her legs. I had put a spell on the vase so it would inflict the most pain possible when thrown at someone. A bit evil, you may think, but that's just the beginning. No one will take my powers away! NO ONE!

Jake's POV

I tried following Lisa's scent but apparently it disappeared. I don't know how. It just did. I thought about getting help from her parent, but I was quick to remember that they had been captured to. I wanted to know who was doing this and why! Why do they want to hurt my mate! The thought of my mate getting hurt infuriated me!

I decided to ask my pack for help. I was knew to the pack, since I just moved here, but I was sure they would help. I ran to the pack house and was greeted by the Alpha, which so happened to be my dad. My parents got separated when I was a little baby, and so I lived with my mom. My mom isn't a wolf, so when my dad found his mate, my mom was forced out of the picture. I was born before that though.

My mom decided it would be best if I spent time with the wolves, so she sent me to live with my father. He took it pretty well. I would've thought that he would never want to see me again, but I guess I was wrong. He had welcomed me with open hands. Both him, and his mate.

"What's wrong?" asked my father, immediately sensing there was a problem.

"They have captured my mate!"

"You found your mate?" he asked surprised.

Oh gosh! I totally forgot about telling him! Now I have to explain everything from the beginning. That's going to take some precious time....time that I could be using to track down the bastards that took my mate and her family! I sighed, and then I began to explain everything quickly, not wanting to waste any time.
