Chapter Thirteen

Hey you guys, I'm sorry for not updating earlier. I've been really busy with school and all. I hope this chapter makes up for your long wait. Hope you all enjoy :)

Lisa's POV

I opened my eyes to the sound of pounding on my door. Who could that be? It can't be Mindy because she has the key. So who could it be? My heart started beating fast like the first time I met Jake, my wonderful mate. Could this be him? Did he find me? As the door was being kicked, I realized that the person on the other side of the door smelled like my mate. "Jake?" I called out. "Jake? Is that you?" but there was no answer. That's strange, maybe he can't hear me or something.

As the door was finally kicked open, I saw a huge figure which was very muscular and a bit scary. Not an ugly type of scary, but his muscularness scared me. I knew right away that this was not Jake. But if this wasn't Jake,then why did he smell like him? And why did my heart start beating really fast? Jake told me that it only happened when you were near your mate. How is it possible that I felt somehow connected to this guy that I didn't even know?

My train of thoughts stopped when the guy landed his lips on mine. How dare he? I quickly pushed him away and smacked him in the face. He flinched a bit but it didn't seem to hurt him. He started wrapping his arms around me and I immediately started punching and kicking. I was becoming tired and he showed no emotion at all. It's as if he were some robot or something.

I began to slowly calm down and next thing you know, I was hugging HIM. This guy I don't even know! Why was I doing this? I looked at his eyes and suddenly felt the urge to kiss him. What is happening to me? I'm not suppose to feel this way for anyone but my mate! I started getting closer and closer, our faces only centimeters apart. I have got to stop myself! But how? I felt like I couldn't control myself. My body was moving on its own without my brain's permission. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and I could feel his minty breathe on my face. Oh gosh. I opened my eyes back up, and there he was. So close to my face, our foreheads touching. I knew what was going to happen next, I just didn't want it to happen.

Earlier that Day

Mindy's POV

I somehow felt bad for locking my grandaughter up, but I couldn't let her take my powers! I'm not going to lie and say that I'm completely heartless, because I'm not. When I first saw LIsa, I felt the connection between us. She's family, and I could never hurt my family. Well...atleast not KILL, unless they get in my way! I knew that if I killed her than I would never forget myself. She reminded me a lot of how I used to look when I was her age.

I started thinking through things and I thought up a plan. What if I distract her from mating on her 16th birthday? The only way she can get all her powers and fulfill the legend is if she completes the mating bond on her 16th birthday. Not before or after. It HAS to be that day! All I have to do is keep her away from her mate until after then. She will still be powerful, but she won't be powerful enough to bring all the species together.

I began looking through my book of spells and found the perfect one. I am going to make a robotic figure of her mate. He won't exactly look like him, but she'll still feel the mate connection. That should keep her distracted for a while. She won't even be able to control herself. This is the perfect plan! I will get my powers, and my grandaughter won't die. Like I said before, I DO have a heart, and I don't want anything to happen to this girl who reminds me so much of me!

I quickly got everything together that I needed for the spell, and then casted it. In a matter of seconds, I found a handsome young man standing in front of me. He looked like a regular person, but was strong and hard like a robot. This should come in handy. I talked to him, and got him to memorize the whole english language, which wasn't very hard. Then, I talked to him about Lisa and told him that he had to love her because they were meant to be together. A little lie can't hurt. After I prepared him, I sent him off to the room where I had locked up Lisa. This should be interesting...
