Chapter twenty-two

Everyone left within two minutes, leaving Jake and I alone in the cabin. So princess, want me to shift back to human form? I knew it was Jake so I quickly nodded not being able to hold back my Grinch smile of so much excitement. You know how every girl dreams of her first time…well I hadn’t exactly dreamed of it until recently when I found Jake.  I dreamed of us being in a candle-lit room with rose petals on the bed in shape of a heart and some nice food awaiting us for after our love-making session.

“So you have been thinking about our first time?” I turned around and saw Jake back in human form with a smirk on his face. My face immediately turned red when I realized he had been listening in on my thoughts. “It’s ok sweetie, there’s no need to be shy.” I thought about my expectation and the reality. My expectations for my first time were so high while the possibility of those things actually happen were so low. “Babe, I have a surprise for you.” Jake said bringing me back to reality. What could it be? I thought to myself. “You’ll see my love”. Ugh, I forgot he can listen in on my thoughts whenever he pleases. I knew that Jake could tell I was aggravated by him constantly snooping in on my thoughts because he said, “Baby, I promise not to read your mind unless I get permission from you first. Ok?” I looked at him and nodded my head.

“So what’s the surprise?” I asked impatiently. I am not a very patient person. I like surprised but I just don’t like waiting for them.

“Just come on baby.” He grabbed my hand and walked me outside. As we walked out I noticed a very nice car standing in the drive-way. He opened the door for me to get in and I did. Can he even drive? I wondered…what if he can’t drive?! Oh gosh, I have a huge thing about riding with someone new. It scares me to death because I don’t know how they drive. What if he’s a crazy driver that gets us killed. “Relax, everything will be fine. I’m a perfectly good driver.”  He said to me in a caring voice that melted my heart. I hadn’t even noticed when he got in the car.

“So..ummm…are you going to tell me the surprise now babe?” he looked at me and laughed. What’s so funny?

“Babe, do you really think I’m going to tell you?” it was worth a try, I thought. “Listen, I’m going to cover your eyes with this so you won’t be able to see where we’re going since it is a surprise and I wouldn’t want to spoil it.” In his hands was a black bandana. Before I knew it my vision was black. Well of course, he put the bandana over my eyes. Duh Lisa! We sat quietly in the car until the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri came on the radio. I could hear Jake singing along, and let me tell you, he had a GREAT voice.

By the time I felt the car stop, I was half way asleep.  His soothing voice and the darkness were a perfect match to put me to sleep. I heard Jake’s door open and then mine. He grabbed my hand and helped me out of the car. He had to guide me since I couldn’t see and he refused to un-blindfold my eyes. “Now be careful, we’re about to go up some stairs.”

I managed to make it to the top and then I felt his hands nearing my head. He was about to take the blindfold off. I was becoming very anxious. I wanted to know what the surprise was soooo bad! As soon as the blindfold came off, I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. Standing in front of me was a beautiful mansion. Was this his home?

“It’s ours.” He said answering the question in my head.

“What do you mean ours?” I asked confused.

“This house was built specially for my mate and I. Now that I’ve found my mate, I think it’s time to put this house into use.” He gave me a quick smile before starting to open the door. He then turned around and said, “Shall we? Let me give you a tour.” Everything in this house was amazing! There were about 25 bedrooms, 3 kitchens, four living rooms, two gyms, and one large game room. This house was unbelievable.

We reached a blue door and Jake stopped. He put his hand on the knob and then opened the door to reveal a very gigantic room. It was filled with candles and it smelled of roses. I turned to the bed and saw that the bed had rose petal forming a heart. How did he do all of this? "Well honey, I happen to be the son of the alpha. I asked some pack members to fix all of this while we were on our way here."

I started letting my eyes wander off to everything else in the room. There was a huge walk-in closet that was probably as big as my whole house, a mini-fridge, a very fancy desk, and lots of more furniture. His room seemed like a house. It had its own living room and everything. The walls were a beautiful light blue filled with wonderful drawings of nature. The windows were decorated by royal red curtains, which just made the room look amazing. I had never seen this combination of colors. The candles were as red as the curtains and shone enough to light up the whole room.

          

“Uh-uh um.” Jake cleared his throat bringing my attention to him. “Do you like our room?” there he goes again with our. “Well baby, this is ours. Everything I have is yours, including my heart.” His words made me blush, I tried to cover it but he grabbed my hands. He looked at me and I could tell that it was time. His eyes were filled with so much lust. I knew my eyes probably resembled his, but I was scared to make the first move.

“I love you, Jake.” Were the last words that came out of my mouth before Jake smashed his lips against mine. He pulled me up and wrapped my legs around his waist while peppering butterfly kisses against my neck. Our wolves wanted us to give in to each other, and that’s exactly what we were going to do.
