Alex POV

We ran as fast as we could down the street and people turned their heads in surprise. Two blocks down we finally stopped, looked at each other, and burst into laughter.

"You're not as boring as I thought." Fawn said, clutching her stomach from laughter.

I stopped. "I'll take that as a compliment."

She laughed even harder at my expression.

"Okay, now that we're out of there." She motioned towards the rehab center with her thumb. "What are we going to do?"

I gave her a mischevious smile. "You'll see." I said, grabbing her hand and leading her towards one of my favorite places to go when I was a kid.

We finally arrived at the park. It had a huge lake with a fountain in the middle of it. There were people in boats rowing around it and having a blast.

"This was one of my favorite places as a kid." I said, turning around to look at Fawn but she was gone. I quickly spun around looking for her. I couldn't find her and I started to panic. "Oh crap. I've lost a patient. This is bad, this is real bad." I said, running a hand through my hair. Just then I heard a scream and I turned my head to find out the source of it.

Fawn had her hands raised in the air and she was sliding down a spiral slide. As she reached the bottom, she went up the stairs to go on it again. I smiled. "So this is the true Fawn..."

I ran to the slide and stood in front of the exit. I saw her come down and prepared to catch her, and I thought I could, but I have never been so wrong in my life. She came flying down the slide and her feet ended up kicking me in the stomach. I fell down backwards and the impact made her fall forward and she ended up sprawled all over me.

"Oh God..." I said, grabbing my stomach after she got up off of me.

"Ah! Alex! Are you okay?" She yelled, kneeling down beside me.

"Just fine." I said with a strained voice, rolling on my side.

"You idiot! What were you thinking? Didn't anyone ever teach you not to stand in front of a slide or swing?" She said, angrily.

I got up slowly, there would definitely be a bruise there tomorrow...

"You're right, I should have known that you had legs as long as a giraff's." I mumbled.

"Hey!" She protested, threatening to squeeze my stomach. I backed up and raised my hands in surrender.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry!"

"Come on!" She said excitedly. "Let's go on the swings!"

I looked at her incredulously. "You're like a child."

"It's been forever since I've been on a play ground. And I never went when I was little because all the people who bullied me would spend the whole day there."

I looked at the ground sadly. "Oh." Was all I managed to say.

She tugged on my hand. "Come on, let's go!"

"Alright, but I don't think I'll be swinging...."

She looked at my stomach. "Right... sorry about that."

She got on the swing and swung her legs, going higher and higher. "1...2..." She began.

My eyes widened when I realized what she was about to do. "Fawn! Don't do it!" But I was too late. She jumped off the swing and landed on her side.

I rushed towards her. "Are you okay?" I asked, checking her to make sure she wasn't hurt.

"Okay? I'm better than okay! That was the most fun I've had in forever!" She said, laughing.
