Alex POV
I knocked on my dad's door and he opened it.
"What are you doing here?" He asked curtly.
"What do you think I'm doing? I'm coming back to the place where I rightfully live." I spat as I pushed past him and walked up to my room.
I closed the door and fell onto my bed with a sigh. Out of all the things Ellie's done, this was by far the worst. And it was bound to get even worse.
I rolled over onto my side and dreaded going to school the next morning.

I walked into Psychology class and dropped my bag onto my desk. Ellie smiled at me and I glared back at her in return. She laughed and turned to write something on the whiteboard.
I watched people walk into the classroom and I narrowed my eyes when I saw Dakota. Every time I saw him, I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach, though I wasn't sure why.
I noticed Fawn next to him and she was... laughing? I quickly leaned forward in my seat and stared at them in disbelief. I clenched the sides of my desk and tried to suppress the anger that was slowly bubbling inside of me. It took me days to get her to talk to me without looking as if she wanted to stuff me into a bag and throw me into the ocean.
Fawn and Dakota sat down two seats in front of me. Dakota glanced back at me and winked while he stuck his tongue out before turning his attention back to Fawn.
I was seething with rage by now. I looked down at my hands and noticed that my knuckles were white.
Calm down Alex. He's not worth. I kept repeating that in my head until I calmed myself down.
"Good morning class." Ellie said cheerfuly. "I have decided that it would be in everyone's best interest to have assigned seats. But the difference between my assigned seats and another teacher's assigned seats is that I have analyzed all of you and have figured out who your friends are as well as who your "foes" are. You wil be seated as according: two friends and two foes. You will hopefully all become friends." She said as she looked at each student in the room. "Now, move the desks into fours!" She demanded.
I internally groaned as I slung my backpack over my shoulder and pushed my desk next to another one.
We all stood in the back of the class as she called off each student's name. I heard a lot of groaning and people dragged their feet as they went to sit down. One girl even threatened to switch to another class if she wasn't assigned another seat. Ellie just smiled and swung her hands towards the door and the girl stomped out.
I heard Ellie call my name and I tensed up, expecting the worst. "Alex Silvius, you will be seated in the seat next to my desk. Dakota Amador, you will be seated next to Mr. Silvius."
My jaw dropped. "Are you serious Ellie?" I blurted out.
She stopped and raised her eyebrow at me. "Do you have a problem, Mr. Silvius?"
I clenched my teeth together. If I said anything, she would make things ten times worse. "No." I muttered as I walked towards her desk. I grabbed the seat and roughly pulled it back, plopping down on it.
"Elizabeth and Fawn, please take a seat in front of Dakota and Alex."
As Fawn sat down in front of me, I stared at my desk, refusing to look at her. If she wanted to forget our feelings for each other and act as if I didn't exist, then that was fine by me. I continued to look crossly at my desk.
As she set her bag down, she accidentally touched my hand and I looked at her. She looked down at me with wide eyes and she opened her mouth as if to say something, but then she just shook her head and turned her gaze towards Ellie.
