Chapter 6

Alex stood next to me. "Why don't you go out and have some fun, too?" He asked.

"Nah, it's time they, along with the twins, had some fun together- just their own family." I said with a smile and turned to him.

"But you're a part of the family, as well as I am," He asked with an eyebrow raised.

"No matter what I say, you'll never understand. Because only a part of me understands it, and the other, completely dumbfounded." I laughed a little.

"Yeah, that's why in someway, I get you. But the other, I really don't!" He scratched his head this time.

I laughed. "Blank your mind, don't stay confused."

"Come on, you confused me first," he rolled his eyes and a chuckle followed up.

"But you wanted to know!" I retorted with a grin.

"Ugh," he groaned. "whatever, let's go out to the porch and watch them play!" He giggled and pulled me out.

He sat down on one of the benches, and I  sat down next to him.

"So when are you getting married to Alli?" I asked and nudged him with my elbow.

He looked down and sighed.

I thought it was a happy sigh, until he lifted his head.

"I don't know really, if I love her that way," he rubbed his face. "I'm serious. I don't know what to do- I mean, yeah she's nice, beautiful, smart, funny- but I need a girl who doesn't joke at the wrong time and listen to anything serious I have to say... and she just creates fun out of everything I say..."

I sympathetically nodded.

I totally understood how he feel.

"Well," I started slowly. "You have to tell her this as soon as possible. You can't possibly hide this from her, and kiss her with another type of feeling in you," I gave him an encouraging, small smile.

He had the I'm gonna cry soon face, so I pulled him into a hug.

And the tears quickly left his eyes.

Honestly, I don't understand why he's crying, but let's just hope he feels better.

"Uncle Alex?" Conner quietly said and ran up to him. "Uncle Alex, why are you crying?" It was adorably how concerned he was.

Alex pulled away and stifled a smile as he wiped his tears off. "Nothing. I was just too cold, that's all. Nothing big. Don't worry, Con."

"Mom, is Uncle Alex okay?" Conner asked me and climbed onto my lap.

"Sweetie, your dad's calling you. Go on out and go have some fun!" I enthusiastically said and tried to get off topic.

"Okay!" He exclaimed cheerfully and got down of my lap.

"And as for you, Alex, go have fun." I said and patted his back.

"Nah, it's fine. I'll just stay here. And I'll tell her tonight. I might kill myself if I don't tell her tonight. I'm hurting her worse if I kept my mouth shut," he mumbled and shook his straight blond hair away from his light green eyes.

"Wait, what's happening here? Alex, who's the her you're talking about? Who're you hurting?"

Shit! Alli! Damn it!
