Chapter 37

"Mom, mom, mom," Collin ran towards me with a smirk on his face. "guess what?"

I folded my arms and smiled. "Wassup, pretty boy?"

"Oh, no, don't pretty boy me, pretty boy your son. He got his license!" Collin cheered for a few seconds before going back to seriousness. "Never thought he'd actually pass on that."

"Collin, Cory works way much harder than you do in everything. Come on. Remember, in sixth grade, he was in the top three of the class, and you were at the bottom three?" I shook my head with a long face. He got a piece of my mind after that.

"Well, now we're sixteen. And I can handle school. It's pretty easy, too! I got Cory to tutor me. And if he couldn't make it at times, Esther will be taking it up for him." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Good, good. At least your sister and your brother made the effort to study hard!" I ruffled his hair and watched him fix it with ease -  just running fingers through his hair, fixes everything.

"Oh, by the way, is Angel back from the studio, and Conner back from the rehearsal?" I asked and crossed my legs.

"Nah," he answered. "oh, but I've - well, not really me, Esther, Cory and I've got rehearsals tomorrow."

I nodded. "Taken note of that."

"Where's Esther and Cory?" I asked curiously.

"They went for a drive around town."

"And you didn't go?" I raised an eyebrow and turned to him. It's strange. He's always loved taking rides in new car.

"Well, hate to admit it, but I'm pretty jealous of Cory. He's younger than me, but yet he gets the license first. Talk about unfairness." He scratched his head and ran his fingers through his hair again.

"Well then," I paused for a while. "try harder. Listen to what that person's gonna say. Don't get distracted easily. Just do whatever's needed, and it's a guarantee that you'll pass."

He sighed and slid down the chair.

So, they've grown. Way much older. And I'm a really proud mother and wife. Cody's going back on his tour soon, Conner and Angel's took up singing, and their going to have their own contracts in no time, Esther's traveling around the world with her beloved camera, Collin's studying to be a doctor, Cory's just got through his first step to what he's always wanted to be; A car racer. Yes, it's dangerous. But if he really loves it, Cody and I won't be in his way of achieving his goal. We aren't going stand in his way and object to it. And I, myself, became a full-time model. Of course for only decent clothes.

"AH, MOM!" Esther's voice appeared just behind me. I spun around with a smile. "Next year, June, I'm going on tour!"

Okay, I just had to scream at that. "No way! Congrats, baby!" She screamed again and I pulled her into a huge, tight hug.

"Oh, by the way, I saw Conner in one of the rooms, while I was walking out. So, I don't think he will take long now."

And speaking of the devil, here he comes.

"Hello, everybody," Conner  greeted, his face full of smiles. "So, I'll be having a duet with my," drapes an arm over Esther and pulls her close, "sister soon."

I gasped quietly. "That's gonna be amazing!"

"Am I the only one who's sixteen?" Collin asked himself, really softly and eyed me.

All three of them laughed and I pulled a long face. "Yes, thanks so much for the super nice compliment, mate." then I added on quickly, "No sarcasm intended."

"You're welcome, my beautiful mother," he answered with a grin.

All of them continued with their little conversation and we continued our wait for Cody. Can't wait to hear his great news!
