Chapter 22

"One, two, twee," Collin bursted out laughing. "What's a twee?"

"Dude, you're laughing at your own mistake," Conner raised an eyebrow at him.

"C'mon, I know you find it funny," Collin teased. "Twee, twee, twee."

Conner choked on his orange juice. "Crap."

"Oops, Conner just used a bad word." Collin looked Conner wide-eyed.

Conner turned to him. "And may I know who's fault that is?"

"Okay, guys, enough," Cory quietly said from the corner. Funny how the youngest says that sentence.

"Darn! We're gonna be late!" Conner checked the wall clock. "Angel! Hurry up!" then he grabbed his bag.

"I am!" Angel ran down the stairs, grabbed her bag, wore her shoes, then she ran to Esther. "Catch you later, baby sister. Bye boys! Take care of her, you hear? Bye Mom, we love you!" She and Conner said at the same time and was out of the door.

"Mom," Esther turned to me. "Tell me how old Conner and Angel are again?"

I smiled. "They're ten, sweetheart."

See, Collin's always hyper, weird, and a little bit rude. But Cory? It's totally different. He's the opposite of Collin. Cory doesn't like to smile, like Cody, and Collin likes to smirk. We all don't know where he got that from, though. And as for Esther, she's the sweet, innocent, friendly and quiet one. She likes to smile, like me. The boys looks so much like Cody, it's not even funny, heck, it's horrifying. Conner was...the sensible, humorous, and nice one while Angel was kind of the strict, unfriendly and kind one.

All of them were so different, I wouldn't blame you if you thought they weren't siblings.

"Mom, can we go to the park?" Esther asked.

I took a look out of the window. It was pouring out!

"I'm sorry, sweetie, but it's raining heavily, and I wouldn't want you ill, so maybe another day?"

"Okay," she smiled and skipped away, humming a song.

It's Friday. Hmm. Since when did the rain come, anyway?

"I'm home!" Cody yelled, as he slammed the door shut.

The twins and the triplets ran towards him, yelling his name.

"Hey kids, I see you've all missed your Daddy," he answered with a laugh.

I leaned against the door and folded my arms, enjoying the cuteness happening in front of me.

"How was the awards, Dad?" Collin asked.

"Yeah, Dad! How'd it go?" Conner excitedly asked.

"Was it fun? Who did you meet?" Cory asked quietly.

The girls laughed at them.

Cody smiled that familiar smile...and my heart skipped a beat. That was the one I saw when we first met. Oh my gosh. I'm like the fourteen yet old Nevedah all over again.

I looked away and sat down on the couch, not leaving my eyes off of them.

Too cute.
