"What have you done with Scott?" My voice shook as I spoke to the man who had haunted my sleep.

"You don't know anything do you? I have the thing you want therefore I ask the questions. You can choose to listen or you can argue until it's too late."

"Okay."

The sound of his voice brought goosebumps to skin. Every single night I woke up at around 3am screaming because every single night I was visited in my dreams by my grandfather. His voice would whisper horrible things to me and I would try to fight him but I couldn't. He was always so clever in every nightmare.

It was that voice. That voice that convinced me every single night that the person who I needed most in the world was the person who deserved to die. He made me believe that werewolves were thoughtless abominations and every night I would wake up screaming as I put an arrow through Scott's heart still hearing Gerard's clap of approval and Scott's howl of pain.

"If you recall your boy Scott ruined everything I had planned. I'm quite certain you can imagine the amount of ill will I hold against him no? How I don't just want to kill him? No I want him to suffer."

"But you can't!" I cried out not quite believing that this was happening just when everything seemed right.

"Yes I think I can. He is after all chained up and gagged with a cloth lightly poisoned with Wolf's Bane. By the time I get back to him he'll have inhaled so much I'll probably be able to get him to claw at himself. What fun that will be. To see him causing his own pain. Those idiotic creatures.. So easily manipulated by a little plant."

I choked as I tried to hold back my tears. I would NOT cry in from of him. I would be strong. My fist tightened around the locket. My fingers itching to open and close it but I didn't want to draw attention to it. Feeling the warm metal did soothe me as I tried to control my emotions.

"Why are you telling me this? You have nothing stopping you. Why are you here telling me all this instead of getting your sweet revenge?" I snapped at Gerard finally gaining some control.

"Haven't you heard that winners love to gloat about their success?"

"Yes I have. However you're the same person who told me that every second matters. You're not one to waste seconds chitchatting if it wasn't for your own gain."

He chuckled and walked up to me. He lifted his hand and I held the urge to flinch as he lifted a strand of my hair. He lowered his hand to caress my cheek but it didn't feel like a warm gesture.

"You have changed. Not the same granddaughter you used to be."

"You're right. I still have a chance to stop you."

"I wouldn't go so far as to think you'd be a threat no no no. Allison you don't have a chance of stopping me from my endeavors. Either we do this on my terms... Or I kill the boy. What's your choice?"

My voice shook, "What do you need to do?"

"See how easy it is when we're cooperative? I happen to know that Scott acquired the mountain ash from the doctor whom he works with. Your job is to require the anecdote. I am sure that he knows of a cure."

"What if he doesn't give it to me?"

"I think he'll be very cooperative when you mention that I will divide his employee in two and leave him on his property."
