"Can I come over and stay wth you?" My best friend Cara begs. I let out a laugh and I can hear her gasp. "Please?" We have been on the phone for the past forty minutes, most of which she begged me to let her stay with me.

"I honestly don't see what is so bad about your brother coming back," I reply and flip through my magazine. Apparently her brother, whom she hasn't seen in ten years, finally came home from some school and now she wants to stay with me. "Enjoy your sibling bonding, wish I had one." Yes, I am an only child.

"It's so awkward! I mean I have to listen to everything he says, and he so annoyingly over protective!" she cries. Cara had a knack for the dramatics.

"How about we go shopping tomorrow?" I ask. "Then we can go to your place, your mom and dad love me and I can sneak you away from your brother. Besides, I miss your moms cooking." Recently, I've been eating way to much fast food. I can cook, but I'm just plain lazy.

"Fine," she sighs.

"Thank god! It is four in the morning and I need my beauty sleep." I tell her and she lets out a snort of laughter. "See you tomorrow." I tell her and hang up.

Flipping off my lights, I pull my soft blanket over me and cuddle into my pillow.

My name is Serena Valor. I am the daughter of Evangeline Valor, world wide fashion designer, and Elliot Valor, billionaire corporate business man. I am eighteen and completing my senior year at North Ridge High, where I am the captain of the soccer team and cheerleading squad. I had long blonde hair and sharp green eyes (thanks mom). Up until today, my life was normal.
