I climbed out of Cara's bed and made my way to where I kept my clothes in her room. I practically live in her house and she practically lives in mine.

I slipped off my pajamas and pulled out clothes for practice. Putting on a Victoria Secret Pink sports bar, black running shorts, and black running shoes. Today was just a day for conditioning, I was in no mood for running drills.

I grabbed my blue nike bag and threw an extra set of clothes, spare shoes, and a soccer ball. I quietly ran down stares and grabbed two frozen water bottles and one in from the fridge, then threw them in my bag as well.

Grabbing my keys I drove off to the school.

"Okay, five minute break then back for one more exercise." I shout and walk to my bag and open my second bottle. The cool water taste amazing and I moan.

"Hey Serena!" I turn to see Julie walking over to me with a few other girls. "Who's the hottie with Cara?" She ask and jerks her head behind me.

I turn to see Cara heading our way with Daniel in tow. A bubble of anger grows inside of me along with jealousy. I swallow it down and just shrug.

"Her brother, he just came back from boarding school." A few of the girls start giggling and whispering with each other. I suppress an eye roll and clap my hands. "Okay back on the field for laps."

We get to one of the goal posts and do a few stretches. "Okay, we are going to have a race. Run as many laps as you can, winner leant do suicide's for the next week and a half." A few of the girls smile and cheer. "Line up!" Everyone separated and got into places. "Go!" We all took off running laps around the field.

I stayed at the front and watched as people began to drop at lap ten and eleven. I turned and began jogging backwards, watching the few remaining people.

"Come on! No suicides for one and a half weeks. Make it to twenty and I'll make it three weeks." A few girls pushed even harder, but two more dropped.

It was around lap seventeen when it was just me and Julie. Now she was matching my pace, her breathing labored.

"I'm going to beat you out," she smirks and pushes on.

"Are you?" I ask a little out of breath. "Haven't been able to before," I laugh.

"Fine. First one back to the group wins." She smirks.

"You're on." Now you might think this is just friendly competition, but me and Julie hate each others guts. Since middle school we have always been competing and she has always hated that I was just a touch ahead of her.

I kept pushing and pushing, we were probably twenty feet away when my hate for her reached a boiling point. I felt a sharp pain in my right leg and stumbled sideways before falling and rolling across the field. Shouts of anger rose from where most of the girls stood but couldn't focus on it.

My ankle twisted and when I tried to get up I fell back to the floor with a shriek of pain. Multiple girls swarmed around me asking if I was okay.

"J-just get me u-up," I ground out and let two people tug me up and walk me to the benches. "G-get me and ice p-pack and c-call coach." I tell Elizabeth.

I fell into the bench and closed my eyes in pain.

"I swear!" Cara shouts and runs down the bleachers. "I will kill her, tear her to pieces!" Cara screams. "Who the hell does she think she is?" I groan as her voice rises even more.

"Cara," I say and she bends down to meet my face. "Shut up, you aren't killing anyone. It was an accident." I say and meet Julie's eyes, who looks truly scared. "It was an accident."

There was an uproar of complaints and accusations but I waved them off. "Everyone get picked up, I just need Julie and Lizzy." Most of them left, very unwillingly might I add.

I could see Cara staring off to the side glaring at Julie, Julie looked as scared as can be, Elizabeth was icing my ankle, and I could feel Cara's brothers gaze on me.

Once I was able to stand Cara let me wrap my arm around her and put most of my weight. I could barley walk.

"Serena, I didn't kno-" Julie tried to apologize by I cut her off.

"This time, it was an accident." I tell. "Next time you'll be off the team," I started to limp away but had Cara stop and turn back to her. "We are on the same damn team, cross me again and you'll regret it." I turn back around and limp to the car.

"Damn, even I was scared." Cara mumbles and I laugh.

"Was that good?" I ask a little out of breath. "Because I wanted to cry out like a baby so bad!" I wince when we move from the sidewalk onto the street.

"Well you can't drive," she says and look at both her and my car. "Maybe I can drive your ca-"

"No way!" I cut her off and shake my head quickly. "Last time I let you drive my car we both almost died and my car was almost irreplaceable. "We will just go in your car and get mine another day."

"Or I can drive it." Daniel walks into view with my bag over his shoulder. He was staring at me, and if it weren't for Cara holding me up my legs would have turned to jello and unable to support me.

"S-sure," I stutter and shrug.

"Well than you are going with him, I will not let my car have the stench of you in here." Cara tells me and I shake my head. "Okay, let's go." She directs me to the passenger side of my car and helps me slide in.

"The keys are in the tiny side pocket." I tell Daniel and lay my head back in pain.  From the corner of my eye I see him slide in next to me and start the car. I can feel my heart in my throat and I tried to avoid his gaze. What the hell is wrong with me?

This is going to be a very long car ride.
