Most of the ride to their house was quite, neither of us said a word. At least not until we were a few minutes away and he finally spoke.

"Why did you do that?" He asked, his fingers have been drumming on the steering wheel. Like head angry or impatient.

"Excuse me?" I was beyond confused. Let's just randomly ask a question! Yippee!

"Why did you tell everyone it was an accident?" He glances over at me and I thank god that my cheeks are still red from practice so he doesn't see my blush. Best friends brother or not, he was extremely hot.

"Well judging by this," I try wiggling my ankle around but hiss in pain. "I won't be able to play our next game, and we can't loose two people or we won't have a chance.

"Strategic," he smirks and looks over at me again. "Very nice," was he serious, or sarcastic?

"Can't tell if you are agreeing or judging my lack of emotion." I cross my arms and glare at him.

"No it's good, you thought of the team before giving the girl what she deserves." He seems angry at the mention of her and I look at him confused. "What can I say, it pissed me off."

I send him a small smile and just shrug. "We all get hurt, whether it is on purpose or not, I'm here for the sport." We pull up to their house and he goes around and helps me out. I'm pretty sure the pain has made me loopy because every where his skin touches mine, I feels sparks.

Nice ones, they make me feel happy. I let out a tiny gasp and can see a small smile on his face. "You okay?" There was something in his voice I couldn't put my finger on.

"Yep, just need to get to Cara's room." I look up the two flights of stairs and groan. "Just great!" I laugh a humorless laugh.

"I think I have an idea," he smirks. Before I have the chance to ask, I'm up in his arms and he is walking up the stairs. Now the Sparks are everywhere and I realize I'm only in a sports bra and short shorts.

Cue the heavy blushing. "What are you doing?" I ask a little bewildered.

"Making it easier," he laughs. We make it to Cara's room and he takes me and sits me on the bed. "You can get cleaned up, I'll be down stairs. Cara should be here in a minute." I just nod mumble and watch him walk away.

He is your best friends brother! The voice in the back of my head screams. But he is so hot! The other argues. Yep, I have officially lost it.

I sigh when I realize u have to get to the bathroom and shower on my own. Why didn't I just kill Julie?

I take a shower as fast as I can, but scrunch my nose when I have to use Cara's green apple soap because mine ran out. Once I get out I pull on my black lace bra and regular black boy shorts, then pull out red adida soccer shorts and a red sweater with grey sleeves from the closet.

My hair was crazy so I just pulled it back into a messy bun before trying to make my way down stairs. Let's just say I almost fell three times on the first two steps, when one of the guys who live here sees me.

"Need help?" He asks and raises his eyebrows. I was leaning on the banister and putting all my weight on one leg. I nod and he makes his way over to me. "Well let's go. I'm Nathan by the way."

Nathan had curly brown hair and very light green eyes, especially when compared to mine. He had this mischievous look in his eyes, and I knew right away that he was a trouble maker.

"Well I'm Serena, I'm Cara's friend from school." I give him a tight smile and try not to wince with every step we take.

"Oh, she told me about you!" He smiles happily. "Yeah, the soccer star and fashionista!"

I let out a loud laugh and shake my head. "We're hose her exact words?" I ask between laughs. He shakes his head with a smile and I laugh even more.

We reach the floor and I thank him for the help. I was about to hug him but he steps back with a scared look. His eyes were wide and he looked like he was about to die. "I s-should go by Serena." With that he turns and runs off, not even giving me a chance to ask if he was okay.

I turn to go to the living room and jump out of my skin when I see Daniel is behind me. "You scared the crap out of me!" I lean against the stairs and catch my breath. We're his eyes darker? "Hey, are you okay?" I place my hand on his arm to get his attention.

"What were you guys doing?" His voice his hard and I can't help but think he is on his man period. Not time to make jokes hough.

"He was just helping me down the stairs, are you okay?" I ask again.

"Yeah I'm fine. Cara isn't back, let's just raise your leg up in the living room." I agree and let him move me to the living room.

I hated this. I hated not being able to walk on my own, or barley be able to shower and change on my own.

I settled into the soft black sofa and watch Daniel lift my ankle and prop it on top of pillows. Him being all caring was hot, like really hot.

What am I thinking? I don't date, I haven't dated since sophomore year, and that was not changing any time soon.

"Thanks," I grab the remote and flip through the channels. Daniel settles into the couch next to me, but far enough so we didn't touch. "So what do you want to watch?" I ask looking over at him.

"Whatever you want."
