At first I thought everyone was going to hate me. I mean a human chick waltzing in and suddenly becoming their Luna, even though I'm not a wolf.

But I was wrong.

Everyone is so nice and sweet and welcoming. The moment the party began people were rushing to me, welcoming me, introducing themselves, and talking about how happy they were that I was here. It was nice.

They were telling me about normal things the pack does and other cool things about being a wolf.

I was currently talking to Daniel's mom and an older lady of the pack, Rosalyn. She looked old and fragile with a few wrinkles dusting her face and white hairs scattered between her dark hair. She had been Daniel and Cara's nanny.

"Sometimes I'd watch him while Alpha was away on business, he liked to dance around with naked in the mud!"

"I hope her stories haven't scared you off yet," Daniel whispers in my ear while taking the spot beside me. His hand moved around my waist, letting me nestle into his side.

"Nah, just made me love you even more." I didn't even think over my words as I thoughtlessly through them out there. Sure I had realized that I loved him, but I hadn't actually told him! "I-uh- I mean-"

"If you'll excuse us," he gives his mom and Rosalyn a smile before pulling us away.

"I'm sorry I wasn't really thinking and I kind of just blurted it out! I mean I get if it's a little awkward now, I mean I kinda just said the L word in front of your mom!" My face flushes a deeper red every passing second and I avoid his eyes at all cost.

Sure we had the mate bond, doesn't mean this is any less stressful!

"Serena, breathe." Taking his advice I let a large gulp of air fill my lungs. Yeah, a lot better. His hands cup my cheeks and make me look into his eyes. "Say it again," a big- for lack of better words- wolffish grins spreads across his face.

"Really?" I cross my arms and pour. Was he enjoying me flustered? He nods enthusiastically whilst giving my his best puppy dog look. With a long sigh and roll of my eyes, I once again meet his. "I love you."

Could his smile get any bigger? I swear this guy's face is going to spilt open and it would be all my fault!

"I love you too." His large frame swoops me into his arms and I happily breathe in his cologne. "God, I love you so much! You honestly don't understand how amazing it is to know you feel the same way."I chuckle slightly at his giddiness.

People begin walking out of the kitchen with trays of food, "Come in we should go sit down."

His hand pulls me out of the large room where we had been, to the back. Twinkling lights lit up the yard and decorations were spread around. There were tables scattered everywhere and I move to take a seat at one.

"Nope, that's our table." Daniel says while pulling me up and pointing in a different directions.

Unlike all the other tabes, thins was a long rectangular one with seven place settings. There were little name cards as well. I was sitting beside Daniel. It went his mom at the very left, his dad, himself, me, then two seats that have yet to be filled:

Beta Greyson and Kieran Greyson.

"Who's that?" I ask myself whilst reading the cards. Beta, sounded funny. I don't think I had met them tonight.

"Sorry, for being late Luna. But I am Beta Greyson and this is my son Kieran." A low voice causes me to jump slightly in my chair and release a rather undignified sound.

My face burns a crimson red as the two men now standing behind me let out a laugh, Daniel soon joins in.

I quickly stand up to introduce myself. Sticking out my hand, "Hi I'm-"

"Luna Serena, it's an honor to meet you. I must praise you Daniel, you've got quite a catch." Mr. Greyson laughs whilst shaking my hand.
His large, dark hand envelopes mine. It was quite comical. "This is my son, future Beta to you and your mate, Kieran."

He steps to the side take and his seat and his son moves forward. The resemblance was uncanny, only difference was Kieran's short hair was speckled with grey and he didn't have the same laugh lines as his father. Giving a simple shake he quickly moves to his seat.

Did I do something?

"Don't worry, he's usually like that with new people." Daniel whispered in my ears. Could he read my thoughts?!

A plate of food is placed in front of me and I almost begin drooling. It smelled delicious, looked delicious, and- as I took the first bite- it tasted delicious.

"This, is amazing." I sigh happily and begin eating more.

"I'm glad you like it Luna!" Josie suddenly stands before me,  now in a simple grey dress instead of her cooking clothes. "Come by more often, we'll start putting some meat on your bones!"

Her laughs fills my ears before she turns away to table. A little boy runs up to her smiling happily, while another little girls sat there playing with her food- cheering happily when her mother sat down.

It was quite nice. All of it was, this was the first Christmas dinner I had since I was eight.

"I'm happy you're here," Daniel says while placing an arm around me. "And everyone seems to like you."

"I know," I sigh dramatically. "I thought they were going to hate me! They're all actually really sweet."

Daniel smiles down at me, his eyes lingering on the necklace clasped around my neck. "I like it." And with that he places a soft peck on my cheek, turning back to his food.

Everyone was talking and laughing, they were like one giant family. Which seemed strange considering my family of three could barley sit at a table together.

"Merry Christmas," I return a kiss to his cheek and go back to my food.
