World had welcomed the month of October. For the nation, it brought chilled winds and extremely low temperatures. Delhi was snuggling under the blanket of fog and mist, trembling with the uber cold breezes that the month of the October had brought.

It was in the same month that sanyukta decided to get married to randhir. First in Christian tradition, for she was brought up in a Christian missionary orphanage and then in Hindu tradition, for the sake of randhir's family. However she wanted to make her marriage a special event of her life and hence decided to get married on the same date of their birth. They day when they were born. The day when they first met in the orphanage, the day when they re-united. 28th of October, now on will be their marriage day that made them one. Forever.

Time speeds up when we want it to crawl and crawls when we want it to fly. It was such a bitch. The first twenty six days of October for sanyukta were like ages, the more she counted the days, and the more they felt like it was forever. Those twentysix days were harder to pass however, they were passed and it was the twenty seventh day of that month and the next day is their marriage.

All the day she spent checking her wedding gown, she had already selected one that looks pretty on her, but she wants to be impeccable on the most auspicious day of her life and so she did checked the things, arrangements twice all by herself and then she went on with randhir's suit which he was going to wear the following day. Once done she crawled into bed all exhausted but not much to make love to love of her life.

That night, after the passionate love making session, randhir and sanyukta were in bed, all naked, snuggled in each others arms under the quilt. Sanyukta had her head rested on his arm while randhir was busy playing with her fingers. She was babbling something to him which she suddenly stooped and pulld her hand back from his grip.

"what?" randhir was surprised.

She nodded and began to count her fingers. Randhir rolled his eyes and said "baby don't worry you got all your parts with you" he winked.

"Shut up idiot." She stopped counting and smacked his bare shoulder. Randhir giggled whilst she said something.

"It's not that" she managed a smile

"Then what madam" he asked wrapping his hands around her and pulling her closer to him

"This is the eighth time"

"What is it?" randhir asked puzzled

"This is our eighth love making session this month" sanyukta said

"So? Oh! Baby is the count so low? Don't worry! Lets make it a double digit next month" randhir narrowed his eyes with a wicked smile on his face. Sanyukta blushed like beetroot

"Shut up randhir" she blushed some more and said "what if I get pregnant? My period was already late"

"In that case, I'll marry you right now!" he pecked her forehead "I can't wait to be called 'dad'" he smiled. Sanyukta smiled back snuggling closer and called it a night, welcoming the beautiful dream of the next day.

True that even Sanyukta couldn't wait anymore. To get married. To have a family of her own.

28th October

Finally the dream date had arraived. With the raising sun randhir too rose and left for his paternal house. The wedding was scheduled at 6 in the evening in the local church. The day was spent busy getting ready, receiving guests and their warm wishes. The news of wedding of two young business tycoons spread like a wild forest fire in the city. Press people had big news, maybe for a complete week. They were thronging their houses but couldn't even get a glimpse of either of them.

However at 4 in the evening it began to drizzle by the time randhir, the groom sent his car to pick up sanyukta at her abode. The black bently, all decorated with orchids had arraived at sanyukta's place ten minutes later,

Sanyukta clad in diaphanous creamy white strapless wedding gown, holding the bouquet of white and purple orchids, with canopy covering her pretty face was waiting in her residence along with her father, vardhan suryavanshi. Raghu too was there with his wife. There was happiness everywhere. As the car arraived, she stepped in followed by vardhan and in no time the car sped fast on Delhi roads towards its destination.

The drizzle turned to shower by the time sanyukta reached the church along with her father, it seemed like the sky is showering her blessings all the way down. There was an incessant smile on her face as vardhan walked her down the corridor gracefully to reach the altar where randhir was waiting for his bride to arraive.

Once at the altar, randhir, clad in black suit with creamy white shirt asked for her hand. Sanyukta smiled widely giving him her hand, the beauty of the orchids in her hands couldn't compete with the radiance of her ever gorgeous smile that they seemed faded suddenly.

The shower was now huge down pour added a zephyr. The ambience of church was so lovely.

She stepped a bit forward and now they were facing the priest, who, a minute later began to read psalms from the holy bible. Once done, the preist asked sanyukta "with all your heart, do you agree this man as your husband?"

"I do" sanyukta felt her heart thumping as she said those words, her lips stretched into smile as her eyes glistened with tears.

And then the preist asked the same to randhir "with all your heart, do you agree this woman as your wife?"

"I do" randhir smiled.

As they made promosises to stay with each other the preist gave them the rings to exchange. Randhir and sanyukta exchanged the rings instilled with love and faith as the crows cheered for them. There were tears in vardhan's and raghu's eyes. Who is she? And who are they? How strange that today they ended up as a family and celebrating the most auspicious moment of her life.

How ever after the formalities were completed the preist pronounced them as the man and wife to which the crowd clapped.

"You may kiss your bride now" the preist announced, randhir nodded and turned to face sanyukta who was smiling at him now.

"Is this a dream randhir?" she asked innocently

"This isn't dream. This is our destiny" randhir replied and then they kissed. Sealing the moment. Forever, till their last breath.

"And your destiny is in my hands!!!" smirked a wicked soul sitting in the crowd watching them with his envious and sinister eyes
