The moment the police took ankit away, sanyukta burst into tears. Raghu didn't dare to stop her. He just stood there and watched her cry. She cried for a while and then yelled out at nothing "why?? Why me? Why my family hates me so much? What harm did I do to them? First my dad, now my brother. Why??? Is this all because I am a girl?? Why???" sanyukta wailed. Her pain was heart wrenching for raghu but still he could do nothing, after all family is family and the pain it gives at times is something unbearable. She cried cried and cried for a lot of time and fell asleep resting her head on the table.

The clock continued to tick, there was chaos in the office about ankit but no one dared to disturb her or talk to her, soon as the night grew stale, all the employees left, but raghu stayed back in her cabin.

It was around 11 in the night randhir came rushing into sanyukta's cabin only to find raghu asleep on the floor and sanyukta in her chair. "What happened?" randhir woke raghu up and asked.

"It's her brother" raghu said waking up groggily not realizing whom he's actually talking to. Once he was fully awake he was astonished to see randhir in her cabin.

"Randhir, you?" raghu was surprised.

"I just came home and saw the news, so I thought she'd need me" randhir said. A simple smile touched raghu's lips as he glanced at randhir, ruffled hair, his crumpled office outfit told him that he directly came to her as soon as he heard the news. "Take care of her I'll leave" raghu patted on randhir's shoulder and stood up to leave. Randhir smiled back and walked to sanyukta whilst raghu walked out of the cabin.

~~~~~~
The next morning there were toast and coffe on the bedside table of their bed by the time sanyukta woke up. As she woke up she found herself in night clothes. She glanced at the badly done toast and picked up the coffee mug. She sipped some and a disgusted grimace that appeared on her face told that the coffee was even more worsely done than the toast and it made her clear that randhir cooked them for her. A simple smile touched her face she simply drank the coffee and ate the toast even when they were bad, just because randhir cooked for her. For some reason there was a constant smile plastered on her face ever sice she opened her eyes.
~~~~~~

Around nine in the morning randhir left her in her office and then left for his office, they were still not on talking terms. By the time sanyukta entered her office, the smile on her face vanished and everything happened the previous night flashed in front of her eyes.

Raghu was in there, watching the news. "What's new?" sanyukta asked steering herself towards him.

"Ankit is dead." Raghu shrugged casually.

"What???" sanyukta bellowed at once, shocked.

"Yes!" raghu approved and turned the volume up. The news reader was screaming, "Ankit Agarwal, the employee of Raindeer group of companies, who was arrested last night for insider trading was found dead, this morning, reports says that he hung himself to the ceiling." The news reporter completed shouting in to the mike.

"shut it raghu!" she said unable to see the pictures of ankit's bruised face and lifeless body resting on the stretcher, surrounded by the police and Kishore agarwal, beside them, Anju agarwal weeping bitterly. Raghu shut the TV and reached for his mobile which was blinking as it was in silent mode.

It was a text from randhir "saw the news just now. Take care of her till I come. I'll be there at 2 in the noon."

Raghu smiled at the screen and wrote back — okay.

Ever since the news of Ankit's suspicious death broke in the city endless calls were made from every corner of the city to sanyukta's office. But sanyukta never answered them; she didn't talk to raghu either. But for every once in a while, she switched on the TV and tuned to the news channel only to watch anju agarwal weeping bitterly and kishore agarwal hurling curses at Sanyukta. It killed her. Yet she never said a word. She sat silently and was going through the records of recruitment that was done in her absence.

"Need some water?" raghu interrupted. Sanyukta nodded a no.

"At least eat something" he pushed a sandwich towards her.

"Will you please leave me alone raghu? At least for a moment?" she scowled. Raghu flinched back, yet composed himself and spoke again "spit it out sanyukta. Why are you trying to numb the never ending pain? It will kill you more. "

Sanyukta looked at raghu for a moment and said. "It's parth raghu. I know. What staggers me is ankit blindly believing parth. Parth would any how kill them, even he helped him or not. After all it's because ankit and kishore that parth lost his family and childhood. Even after knowing all these how could he go trust him and help him conspire against me?" sanyukta was now crying a little. Raghu held her hand and patted it softly. Sanyukta fought her tears and said "anyway we got nothing to do with this, I tried to save them and protect them, but I failed, afterall who escapes destiny, it's theirs, they have to face it. All we can do now is concentrating on the damage Ankit has caused us."

Raghu nodded.

"Call the HR manager in" she said as she continued to study the file of new recruitments.

Raghu nodded and called the HR in.

As soon as the manager entered in and took the chair in front of her. Sanyukta pushed a file towards him and asked "is this sign your or someone forged it?" her voice intimidating and cold.

"No madam, that sign is mine, no one had forged it." The HR manager said counting to his life.

"How long have you been working in our company?" she asked.

"Ever since it's inception in Delhi" the HR manager gulped, it was clear for him now that his boss is going to sue him for his mistake.

"How much recruitment did we carry ever since then?"

"A good 12000"

"Have we ever asked employees for bond?"

"No"

"Then why the hell have you recruited men with ten years bond??" sanyukta bellowed at once and slammed the file at him.

"Er...I...I don't..."

"You don't what?" she banged her fist against the table. "You don't know???"

The HR manager nodded

"Oh! Stop bluffing Mr. Misra, how come you don't know?" she yelled.

"I thought it'd help ma'am" he spoke with difficulty.

"What help? And since when you started taking your own decisions? Till now I thought I am the chairman of this goddamn company" sanyukta seethed. Mr. Misra was sweating profusely.

"I'm sorry ma'am" after all, he managed to speak.

"Sorry?" sanyukta guffawed "sorry? What are you sorry for? Sorry for helping people to push us into bankruptcy?" sanyukta said darkly.

"In that case Mr.Misra, I'm sorry too, in the light of recent events, I may suspect you too for insider trading" She then turned to raghu and said "Fire Mr. Misra and make sure he got his conduct 'bad' on his conduct certificate"

Mr.Misra was shocked and grief sticken, he began to plead with her that he's innocent and not to ruin his carrer, but still sanyukta was adamant and kicked him out of her firm; afterall the loss Mr. Misra had caused was not something revocable.
