"Randhir" Sanyukta felt a sudden sense of relief and had her adrenaline under control. She drooped in her chair, rested her face in her palms and began to weep out of relief and happiness. Randhir, by then entered her cabin and closed the door. He then stood leaning against the door with no particular expression or emotion on his face.

"Randhir!" Sanyukta, after a while, lifted her head up to face him and began to talk "I know you would......" Her voice trailed off and her words vanished into thin air the moment she saw Randhir drinking alcohol from his bottle.

"Randhir, you are drinking???" She narrowed her eyes. There was loads of surprise in her tone.

Randhir smirked and started to walk towards her. His steps staggered. His face looked pale and his eyes were drained.

"Mrs. Sanyukta Singh Shekawat!!!" He emphasized each and every word leaning on to her chair placing his hands on both of the arm rests. Her wheel chair moved backwards a bit with a little creaking sound.as soon as he did it, the bottle fell from his hands to the floor and broke into pieces. The alcohol spilled on the floor. He looked at it, burped and smirked.

"Whoops" he said looking back at her.

Sanyukta had a twisted expression on her face as a strong stench of alcohol and dried sweat emanated from and hit her nostrils.

"How dare you booze?" She gritted, staring straight into his eyes. There was a kind of authority on him in her tone.

He averted his gaze for a moment, for, her knew, with her eyes like those of little pug, filled with love and innocence, he couldn't be mad at her more than a moment, staring at them. He looked away and looked back again. Her gaze was stern. She was still staring at him, searching his eyes for answers. She knew, it wasn't him, it was his pain and misconceptions making him act that way.

"That's none of your business!" He pointed his finger at her and continued "waise, who do you think you are? A saviour eh? Who asked you to buy my company? Just wanted to prove your husband is a loser?" He said and backed to stand straight. She was still staring at him with blood shot eyes mean whilst he continued "very well played!" He clapped hard that it echoed in the huge cavernous hall of her office.

"Very well" suddenly his voice dropped. He then bent forward again and said in low voice "you won the business deal. But you lost your husband."

Sanyukta was counting on her patience. Trying hard not to lose her temper but seeing Randhir slipping away from her life made her panic and made her realize that it's her time to act. After all she knew, He was just like that kid who's mad at his mom. Randhir now need love. Someone to soothe his pain and tell him it's okay, but not the alcohol.

"How dare you booze?" Sanyukta reiterated.

Randhir fell silent for a moment; more of her voice was soothing him now. He now began to feel her love. Her eyes, her voice, her touch, goddamn! Her presence! Hell! Why this woman had such an impact on him??? He felt as though a part of him was living inside her. Or it was just another himself. His anger began to abate but still may be because of his ego, he pretended to be angry at her.

"Does it matter to you? It's my goddamn life after all!" He gritted staring straight into her eye.

Her face softened as she heard him saying those words. She sat there for a second, silent, fighting back tears and then mumbled "your life?" She lowered her gaze

"Your life?" She reiterated and then looked at Randhir again. He seemed least effected by his words. Seeing him so nonchalant Sanyukta lost her cool at once "your life? Hell! No! It is now tangled with mine! Damn it!" She screamed at once and grabbed his collar. He was unfazed at her act and tried to release himself from her grip. But she clasped his collar so tightly and pulled him towards her. He lost his balance and fell on his knees. They now were face to face and sanyukta continued to rant even more ferociously, clasping his shirt collar.

"Who have to tell me to do things? I know what to do what not to do." She screamed at him. He held her hands with both of his' and freed himself of her grip.

"Aha! So you did it deliberately!!" randhir said sarcastically settling on the floor, staring at her.

"Deliberately do what?" she narrowed her eyes.

"Killing my child..." randhir's voice suddenly turned cold and dark yet it trembled with tears surfacing up his eyes.

Sanyukta sat there frozen at his words. She knew he was hurt but never knew that he turned this stupid to believe that a mother killed her child deliberately.

"Randhir" she raised her voice.

"Yes! YOU KILLED MY CHILD! YOU—" randhir who was screaming till then suddenly stopped shouting at her as a loud slapping sound dissolved the echous of his words till then.

"SHUT UP! SHUTTT UPPP!" sanyukta bellowed hard as she slapped randhir tight across his face. "What do you think of your self? Going around screaming 'you killed my chid, you killed my child?' you think my miscarriage means nothing to me? You think it doesn't pain me? For god sake randhir, I WAS CARRYING YOUR CHILD. YOUR CHILD WAS A PART OF ME. SHE WAS MINE TOO." Sanyukta yelled and dissolved into tears at once. "I was the mother and I lost my child..." she hid her face in her palms and began to weep bitterly. Randhir who was sitting on the floor facing her with his hand plastered to his cheek, stared at her for a while. With every second passing and with the blow he had on his face, he began to feel sassy slowly and constantly. The dizziness caused by alcohol was leaving his senses and things began to make sense now. He looked around and then realized what the fuss he had created for the last few minutes. He shook his head in despair, for a moment he thought of soothing sanyukta taking her into his arms and telling her it's okay. But something inside him stopped. We lost our child. The loss is mutual. I agree. But why does she have to blame it on parth? — He thought and that single thought had stopped him from reaching her hand thus creating a strong barrier of ego between the souls. He looked at her for a while and then moved backwards towards the door. He then leaned against the door and slowly and helplessly he slipped in to the kip.

As the night grew older sanyukta's sobs dissolved in the midnight silence and the darkness was like a lullaby that she too slipped into slumber.
