A week rolled and raghu was back to work. He was stunned to hear the news about the agarwal's. "You think that parth is behind it?" he asked sanyukta while walking down the street along with her to their site of construction.
"I just don't think. Am sure of it." Sanyukta said stopping by a road side kiosk and grabbing the day's news paper. Being a big shot, rather say, a celebrity now, people on the road began to recognize her and there were murmurings. She just ignored them and continued to leaf through the paper to the business page and there was another head line about the Agarwals. "and you shouldn't ask that raghu... it was you who told me that he's a dangerous serpent. Is it not?" she asked reading the headlines. The headlines implied the bankruptcy of the Agarwals.
"Yes, I did" raghu said grabbing her hand and making her walk.
"Let's go to office," she said. Raghu nodded and they steered themselves to their office.
Inside her cabin, Sanyukta was pensive. Something was going wrong. Totally wrong. Her senses told her.
"Raghu" she called him out to say something but before she could speak her mobile buzzed again. It was a message. From parth. She opened the message and it read — there is a bid this Sunday, for the auction of Agarwals. Hope you'll grab the chance — sanyukta read the message and looked up at raghu. Raghu grabbed the phone and read the message.
"Don't tell me that we're going for it." He said giving back her phone.
"There's no need to tell. It's decided. We're going for it." Sanyukta said.
"I don't think this is a good idea" raghu opined while sanyukta stood up ignoring him, walked towards the window and stood there staring at the outside world. The sun was about to set and the birds were flying across the sky, back to their nests. "And find out why parth is into this." She ordered, staring at the saffron sky far away that could never meet the land, yet seemed like merged with it. Raghu, knowing her adamant nature, nodded desperately and left
Days quickly rolled to Sunday and there began a bid at Agarwal Automobiles early that morning. Sanyukta was there with raghu. Mr.Agarwal too was there. With grim face. She decided to ignore Mr.Agarwal as the mere thought of him irked the hell out of her.
However at ten. sanyukta saw a black Bentley pulling up into the compound exactly an hour after the bid had started. In the car was Randhir. The prince of Shekawat Empire.
The moment randhir stepped down the car Sanyukta found her heart leaping. She felt her blood rushing in her veins. She inhaled sharply to calm her erratic heartbeats and uneven breathe. Randhir got down his car and looked around. There were CEOs of top notch companies seated with their secretaries who were now checking on him. He was wearing a royal blue shirt neatly ironed and tucked in to his pants; he was cleanly shaven with a perfectly trimmed mustache. With the blazer sagging down on his fore arm, he walked with an attitude of —I know am sexy. Stop drooling over me—
As he walked down the aisle his eyes eventually locked with Sanyukta's. He stopped in his tracks and he doesn't know whether she too felt the same as he did, but he found his heart pounding. There was an unknown urge in his blood to feel her warmth. It felt like he knew her since ages, and the fate was just playing a stupid hide and seek game with them. It's just not her name that was struggling to bring the buried memories out. But it's now her face too. He felt her familiar. He felt her known. He just couldn't stay calm that he decided to keep his ego aside for once and walk up to her and ask her "have we met before?"
"Sir. Are you okay?" ishika shook his hand whilst he stood there staring at sanyukta. Her touch and words broke his trance. He looked at ishika who was smiling at him smugly. He forced a smile and walked to his seat.
The bid began shortly again with the initial rate of 6cr. for all the assets of Agarwals. Up to certain point, the other CEOs too participated. But when the bid reached 14cr the other CEOs dropped as they felt it was way more than what it was actually worthy of. And then it was only randhir and sanyukta participating, randhir was unreasonably raising his rate to which sanyukta was responding with an attitude that of — win the battle any way.
"sanyuktaa.... What the hell are you doing...." raghu tucked her hand when sanyukta bid for 14.5 cr. "slow down girl, can't you see, this is a trap. He's trying to trap you, Agarwals doesn't even value 10 cr." raghu hushed mean whilst randhir bid it for 14.75 cr. Raghu looked at him, noticing his evil smirk and turned towards sanyukta to say something. But before that sanyukta bid it for 15cr. Raghu pulled her hard this time,
"Mad or what? This dabba company isn't worth of your rate" he scowled "see! we have 6 projects to be completed. Can you understand? S.I.X! And what will we do without cash. Sanyukta this bid will leave us bankrupt. Don't do this." he said. Sanyukta was about to say something when they heard the auctioneers announcing that sanyukta won the bid at 15cr. rate. sanyukta and raghu exchanged a glance at each other and raghu looked back at randhir whilst sanyukta stared at Mr.Agarwal whose eyes were now glossy. Randhir left without a word, whilst sanyukta got to her feet to sign the papers, she noticed Mr.Agarwal trembling while signing the papers, after Ankit Agarwal too signed the papers, the auctioneers handed her the documents and the keys.
With her head held high, sanyukta took those into her hands and walked up to Mr.Agarwal. Mr.Agarwal was in shock and disbelief; he was in no state to speak. He seated there, lifelessly. On verge of tears. She leaned forward and said "this is what a baby girl in blue can do. This is the same jinx you had thrown away years ago. This is it. This is me. Sanyukta Agarwal" she banged her fist on the table. This was the first time ever in her life that she pronounced her name along with 'agarwal' and she made it sure that this would be the last time too.
Mr.Agarwal's eyes began to rain the moment sanyukta said those words. Ankit was baffled. Mr.Agarwal stood there motionless watching, sanyukta leave, walking with pride and confidence. Now Mr.Agarwal was ruing his deeds. The truth that sanyukta was Mr.Agarwal's biological daughter, That was never known to the outer world was now stifling Mr.Agarwal, the mounting stress and remorse started as a sharp pain in his heart, slowly numbing his senses and making him choke, the pain soon developed into massive heart attack and he was immediately rushed to hospital.
