Two days passed after that ghastly incident that instilled fear in her forever that day, and sanyukta hadn't opened her eyes yet. Vardhan and raghu never left the hospital nor stopped chanting prayers for both of them. Randhir's parents knew nothing of this until the news broke and traveled faster through the social networking sites and the next moment they got to know about the accident harsh and renuka flown back to India, they were literally dead to see their beloved son and daughter-in-law on the hospital bed, motionless with bruises allover their bodies. Renuka was incassently crying while harsh tried to be strong

Randhir had underwent a couple of surgeries that were intended to fix his dislocated lower jaw and fractured bones in his hands in those two days, except for those injuries randhir was perfectly alright. But the situation is different with sanyukta, she had a miscarriage because of a hard blow to her spine, even though she hadn't undergone any surgery, the loss is visible and irrevocable. She was not in her senses for the past two days.

However, after a long wait, on the third day sanyukta opened her eyes to vardhan, raghu and her in-laws. The moment she did, the first word her tounge flapped was 'randhir'

"He's fine" vardhan said caressing her hair. Sanyukta sucked in a lung full of air; she's so fragile and as pale as the bedsheet covering the bed underneath her, she tried to sit up but due to the numbing pain she couldn't feel her body below her hips, vardhan helped her up and made her sit, adjusting pillows behind. She setteled herself caressed her tummy as if assuring her unborn child that everything is okay. Vardhan and raghu looked at eachothe before ragh said with heavy voice that sanyukta had a miscarriage.

"What?" harsh and renuka were bewildered whilst sanyukta seemed so nonchalant. Her nonchalance now terrified all those four, raghu, vardhan, harsh and renuka who stood by her bed.

"Are yoy okay sanyukta" raghu touched her shoulder, she looked at raghu and half smiled, her hand still holding her tummy,

"Yeah! I'm pretty fine. My child died, and I don't know what happened to my love. Yes! Am fine" she nodded leaning her head back, it started with a lone tear that dwindled down her eye and then sanyukta ended up bursting out into tears, holding her tummy "why me?? Why?" she cried like a maniac. None of the four dared to console her, they let her cry, and they let her pain drain out through her tears. She cried. Not as a girl who met with an accident, but as a mother who lost her child, her world, but as a wife who was yet to know her husband's safety. Her tears were heart wrenching that, everyone stood around has tears in their eyes too.

She cried and cried and cried till she passed out on the hospital bed, with her hand still holding her tummy.

One more day passed and then it's four long days in the hospital, however that day sanyukta got to open her eyes, so did randhir.

"I have to see randhir" sanyukta said as soon as she opened her eyes, she was feeling much better than the previous day. It was around eight pm that night that she opened her eyes for that day.

"sanyukta you need to take rest" raghu tried to stop her. But she was in no stage to listen to anyone.

"I have to see randhir! And I am not going to take a no now" she tried to get down the bed. Her voice was so stern and cold as stone that raghu couldn't dare to stop her. She pulled the blanket that covered her aside and tried to get down the bed but before she could do that vardhan walked to the side of her bed and pulled the curtain that had covered the other side of the room aside only to reveal another bed beside hers and on the bed was randhir. In his senses with bandages allover his head and his left hand, he, with great effort turned his head aside to face sanyukta and stretched his lips hard to smile and he did. Seeing him like that sanyukta couldn't stop herself from going to him anymore. She got down the bed and walked up to his bed with staggering steps like a toddler who found something facinating. Randhir was silently watching her with tears in his eyes
