Aries roamed the Ansi and Ropun territories all alone, searching for the vampire that damned his life. At one point, he decided to swim across the Azure Ocean to the Noram territory. There he made it his goal to find any information he could on the vampire that had turned him into the monster that he was.
His soul had become dark like the magic that had taken over him. The blood lust made him powerful but insatiable. He grew to hate all werebeasts, but he hated the wolves even more. His kind had turned their backs on him, not that he cared... He was doing just fine on his own. He had spent centuries searching for Tonic and was slowly giving up hope. His plan, the plan he promised to complete to Leo's memory was fading from his own. Everything he did was out of rash thought and pure hate towards all that surrounded him. But Leo, he remained inside of his head a someone to talk to, to help keep Aries's sanity.
"I hope he has been torn to pieces and suffered in death. I hope he is burning in hell for all the pain and suffering he caused anyone he encounters during his pathetic life." Aries said out loud to break the lonely silence that surrounded him. "He deserves that for all that he's done to me... No, he deserves even more for what he did to you, Leo."
"Oh, come on, mutt. You don't mean that, do you?"
Aries whirled around with his hand on the handle of his sword. His red eyes grew wide once he saw who had spoken. He swiftly drew his weapon and pointed it at the wretched vampire who had stolen everything from him. He tried to control his shaking, still unsure whether he was truly there, or it was just his mind playing tricks on him like earlier years.
"Well hello to you too. I see your manners haven't gotten any better since the last time we saw each other." Tonic exaggerated as he walked around Aries. "It is nice to see at least one of my creations still alive, or undead is a better way to put it. But what has me in a severe conundrum is why you insist on talking to the dead wolf whose head you severed?"
"That was your fault!" Aries spat. "You caused his death! And you will die for that!"
Aries charged towards Tonic with his silver sword drawn high. Tonic smiled wickedly, stepping out of the way in a flash. He grabbed Aries by the throat and slammed him to the ground. He took hold of the hilt and forcefully pressed it up against Aries's bare neck. Aries stared up at him with wide eyes, not believing the vampire was real. Finally, after all these years, he was within Aries's grasp, and he could not even manage to stay on his feet long enough to fight back.
"You may be skilled with this stick, but you will never be able to kill me." Tonic sneered. "I'm one of the oldest vampires alive and you think can defeat me? Still? You are messed up like your alpha mentioned. Although, I do believe it's because you've gone crazy with grief."
Aries struggled against Tonic's grip. Once he felt the cold steel of the blade touch his throat he stopped moving. He could not risk being killed now. He needed to avenge Leo and the pack.
"Ha. You hate me for what I did to you and yet you don't have the guts to end your life." Tonic stood up and removed the sword from Aries's throat, but kept it pointed at him. "What are you waiting for? You don't have anything to live for anymore. You wouldn't be able to kill me, so why not accept your fate and let me drive this into your still heart? Are you not disgusted with what you are? Have you not already tried to end your life as a hybrid, seeing as how you are nowhere near the place I turned you? you crossed an ocean and yet you still will not die."
Aries looked away in shame. Tonic was right. He had tried many times to kill himself, but he could never go through with it. He had made a promise to kill this son of a bitch and he had a slowly dying dream... He wanted to believe that someone, somewhere would accept him for the abomination that he had become.
