Narima had spent most of her time locked in the ice cage, which was nothing new to her. She stayed in her wolf form the entire time just to prevent Raion from staring at her naked body. She was not going to allow Raion anywhere near her or the cage. She snarled at him so many times that it began to anger Raion.

"Enough!" Raion roared annoyed. "Look at me! I want you to look at me when I talk to you." Raion rattled the cage making Narima lose her focus and stop snarling.

Someone knocked on the bedroom door and Raion relaxed enough to look like a king.

"Come in." Raion paced in front of the cage pondering on how to win the she-wolf's attention and affection.

Gio walked in and looked at Narima watching Raion's movements, her body tense and ready to attack. He could tell how much stress this situation was giving her. Narima's black eyes had begun to fade to a dull grey. The stars seemed to disappear in the endless abyss. Gio sighed deeply as he worked on a plan to save her from Raion.

"What do you want, Gio?" Raion asked with his back to his best friend.

The lion quickly gathered his thoughts and walked closer to Raion. He glanced over at Narima staring at him, pleading with her eyes to have Raion taken away.

"Raion... Don't you think you should let her out of the cage for a bit?" Gio asked calmly, avoiding Raion's intense gaze.

"What do you think I am trying to do?" Raion growled as he threw up his hands in defeat. He growled as he walked around the cage eyeing Narima. She put her head down to avoid his paralyzing stare.

"Maybe if you explain to her that you are going to be kinder if she allows you near her..." Gio hid the sadness in his voice as Raion took a step closer to the cage. Almost instantly, Narima was on her feet snarling again.

"Don't be a smartass..." Raion growled, annoyed that Narima was still snarling. "I want her to talk to me. She should be afraid to piss me off. I am stronger than her, I should be feared."

"You want her to talk?" Gio raised an eyebrow. "How do you even know if she understands what we are saying? And you want her to be afraid of you? That is already true."

Raion paused to stare intently at Narima. How could he have forgotten that Gio did not know what he already knew? He turned to look at Gio and his eyes narrowed.

"Fine." He paused. "Let's say she can't understand. I can at least get her to learn a few words. Most importantly, I want her to say my name."

Gio growled silently to himself as he fished out a flyer from his front pocket. He unfolded the paper carefully as he flattened it out.

Raion snatched it out of his hand and began to read it.

"What's this?"

"There has been news of a lost werewolf princess," Gio explained with a roll of his eyes. "She's been missing for nine years now, and this she-wolf fits the profile. Who we have before us and in a flimsy ice cage is the future Queen of the Werewolves, Princess Narima."

Raion looked down at Narima. He glanced over at Gio and noticed the way he was looking at her. Raion began to feel jealousy building in the pit of his stomach. He turned to look back at Narima and saw her black eyes flicker with acknowledgment at the mention of her title.

"It's not her." Raion crumpled the paper and tossed it to the side. "She is not the future queen of no worthless wolves."

"How do you know?" Gio asked, slightly angered. "She has the same fur color, she looks about the same age, and even her trademark eyes match. I mean look at her! She reacts every time we say her name. We have to take her back to her pack."
